Mineral makeup - any good?

Great post
I think its great that you have written down how you are going about with the experimenting, really helpful in showing how flexible MMU really is - thanks for the update.
Thr green colour correcter I use to blend in my rosey red nose and cheeks (rosacea) before I cover with my foundation. Then if I need a bit more help with the red, on goes another layer and a bit more foundation. Red burst veins or spots - a bit of concealer - I use the fairly light or either of the bisques from BE
Im also a sucker for the mineral veil from BE as a finishing powder but my last pot seems to have blown away as theres very little left in it and Ive only had it two months, so will be trying the BE finishing powders
Im finding the OCM is really helping with the oil slick that my face was. I still get shine but I just blot and buff a bit more mineral veil and it seems to work. Actually I think my make up looks a lot better on days like today where my face was getting very cooked in the car and I started to " glow"0 -
Re spot coverage - forget the brushes. Put your finger in the pot - I use the one next to the pinky
- and tap/rub gently directly on to the spot or red patch. Works for me! You don't need to put a lot on to your pinky companion... practice on a freckle or similar first to get the highly technical knack that I have developed. .... :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Oo yea, I often do use a finger tip to apply concealer and/or a touch more foundation over spots if I need it to be quite localised. It works really well doesn't it?!:starmod: :starmod: :starmod: "Live like you mean it, Love 'til you feel it" :starmod: :starmod: :starmod:- The Goo Goo Dolls0 -

Just one question please: why do I and the dressing table get covered in the mineral make up ?
I always place an old pillowcase over the front of my clothes to catch the dust from the powder. I do tap the brush so hopefully I'm not using too much powder but I still find there's too much dust!! Help please.

Are you using a big enough dish to swirl in? I find the lids are way too small and I now use a little used tea bag dish (used to have a lovely crystal salt dish that looked lovely on the dressing table).

to give you an idea of what I mean ( mine was 50p) or look around the house for something pretty. I know a lot of people use the small individual Christmas pud dishes0 -

I have to say I just tried this the other day and yep - works a treat
See, you arent as mad as you come across :rotfl::rotfl:0 -

I've been using one of those small ceramic bowls that posh pate comes in ( or used to - I've had mine a long long time ).0 -
I always tap like fury and I am standing when I put mine on, but now you mention it, my stance is a little unusual.... head forward and ar5e right back. Not a pretty sight but powder doesn't end up on clothes ..Genie

I have experimented with several brushes and always go back to use the free one with the L'oreal mineral make up. I've given up putting my make up on in the bathroom (it's white) and rely on the old pillowcase to protect my clothes.
If I tap too much powder off it doesn't give the coverage I need . Some are blessed with good skin but I need all sorts of products to camouflage mine. Give me wrinkles instead of acne rosecea any day.
Thanks, I will continue to read this thread.
