Mineral makeup - any good?

You've misunderstood my post - I know the mineral veil is a finishing powder not a foundation - I was asking whether it might give a better finish on top of EB's foundation (which I'm happy with, after some initial issues) than EB's own Matt or Dewy finishing powders.
I know that the BE foundations contain bismuth (one of the reasons I haven't tried it) but is the same true of the BE mineral veil? (Is there a list of ingredients of all BE products somewhere?)
Thanks for the info on Jane Iredale - I might have a look to see what products are available in that range.Operation Get in Shape

Apologies - my excuse is (and only Jeannie might understand this if she pops in) that I've lost the components of my broken Screwdriver and taken delivery of faulty emergency Mini batteries and I'm therefore losing my mind, what's left of it

I use the mineral veil over my EB. Gives me a lovely airbrushed look and a bit of a dewy glow - without being ott0

I understand and deeply sympathise but have to say that my EVO is going well (although I do admit I don't use it all the time).
Also, to say that I like my Lily Lolo, including the translucent silk finishing powder but much prefer the flat topped kabuki I got from Everyday Minerals which are a US company who also do FREE samples.

Thats my problem with mineral make-up its all loose (& messy).
I like loose face powder, but I like blushers, bronzers, eye shawdow, etc to be pressed.0 -
Hi Ladies,
Has anyone tried the new Elizabeth Arden pure finish minerals? It comes in a handy pot which grinds you out just enough product so you don't overuse. I am eager to try but as it is an expensive one I would like any success stories or 'stay away' warnings before I part with my hard earned cash!
Many thanks indeedFinally decided to start growing up when it comes to money!:j

Not messy at all unless in your eagerness you rip of the sticky cover instead of just popping a couple of holes, Just popping a couple of holes makes sure you dont tap out too much in one go0 -
Hi people, do any of you know if the MAC mineralize liquid foundation is actually a mineral product?
I want to swap over to mineral products, but prefer liquid foundation.
Thanks, LCxSave me from spending...

It has minerals in it of course but it cant be pure mineral and it would be what the base product was made of which would concern me.
Minerals cant be a liquid. Is there some particular reason you want a liquid foundation yet want to change to mineral?0 -
Is this what you mean:

I can't see the full list of ingredients but it's a foundation with minerals in it. It's not a mineral foundation. I think (but don't quote me!) that there is no such thing as a liquid mineral foundation - they all have other ingredients in them.
The point, as far as I am concerned, of MMU is that it is made of pure minerals and nothing else. Minerals are inert and don't support bacteria - also, the zinc in them is very calming to the skin. Even many powder mineral foundations contain other ingredients (eg, Sheer Cover, Elemental Beauty) which are considered to improve them in some way and some skins find them excellent aesthetically and/or healing because of the added whatsits.
Why don't you try a sample size of "real" MMU and buy a good brush and see what you think?
Aha! While I was rambling on, Suki was beating me to it with her more succinct response
