No you're not:rolleyes:
I wish you would stop butting in my threads Gran:)
Meanwhile folks - back to the thread - any questions, call Nicola at EB!!
Re moisturiser - I shove it on, go off and have brekkie or get dressed or do something, by that time it has sunk in and can shove on the EB - yes shove on, when I really fussed with it, I made a right mess - now I have a cavalier approach (time thing really) and it goes on perfect. Just don't overload the brush and put too much on. Less is more.
It does take a bit of time to get used to, but it is so worth persevering with, honest.
My aunty (MrsE) really is a kind woman.Genie

I've just put in my order at EB for the English Rose sample along with a couple of other colours Nicola suggested, 2 finishing powder samples and 4 eyeshadows (I just couldn't resist). I was playing around earlier and discovered that the too-yellow No7 foundation is actually not too bad as an undereye concealer when applied with a small brush, so I'm going to give that a go first and order concealer when I order full size foundation if I need it. Plus, not ordering the concealer now makes me feel slightly less guilty about the eyeshadow. *g*0

I very much doubt that you will regret your purchase - I hope you have a good brush to apply it all? I personally don't like the kabuki that much, but others love them. I like EB's little pink (not too little) pink brush myself as the handle is longer.
Don't forget to come back - and also, remember less is more, build up etc. and it does take a little practise. I made such a drama of it all at first!! But then I am a tad stupid ...Genie

I have posted on here a couple of times but I would like to ask if the mineral veil makes much difference. I actually prefer Sheer Cover or Laura Mercier to BE but I have never used the veil - could that be why I like the other more? Is Sheer Cover and Laura Mercier all in one?
EDIT: Sorry I have posted on the other thread before, not this one!!0 -

Will do - I can't wait.
I have a really soft Jemma Kidd brush to use for the foundation, and I've ordered a concealer brush with my samples. I had my eye on the pink brush you mentioned but spending money on a new one when I have one that's fine would be a bit naughty really.
Random: a quick hunt has just found my brush online. This is it (also with a pink handle):

Thats a kabuki brush that will give more of a coverage so do use the mineral really sparingly and build up till you get the hang of how much you personally need0 -

I love the mineral veil from BE - I use the original although now theres a few others with tints. I like it as a blotter and an all round finisher. It really does give the air brushed finish.
When my face was really oily ( really improved with the OCM) I used the veil as a primer, then as a finisher then also topped up along the T zone whenever I needed it. It doesnt cake or add colour which is what I love0 -

"Mineral Veil" is a misleading name. It should be "Veil for Minerals" because it is a finishing powder. Different brands containing a different main ingredient which is not minerals  Usually it is cornstarch (American term for cornflour) as with BE's version, or rice powder, maybe other stuff - I don't know everything and have not kept in touch with developments because I've got so much to use up and I've got to stop spending on something. I absolutely hate it when you're all using new stuff but I've got to grow upBack to business...
Finishing powders are intended to minimise the look of pores and fine lines, MV reduces the metallic sheen of BE foundation which many do not like. They can also, as some have indicated, be used as an undercoat helping to give a better "work surface". However, if it's purity you're concerned about, then putting any of the 'veil' recipes directly on your skin is going to defeat the object of mineral foundation, because cornstarch etc can support bacteria, minerals don't - we are told.
