    Happy birthday Barginbabe

Another house that doesn't do valentines here.

A miserable day here - weather warning was issued for the amount of rain we're supposed to have - yuck!

Got a friend coming with her DS's today so won't bother hoovering - shall make some choccy chip muffins for when they arrive and chuck them out before lunch :D

DD1 is involved in the local am/dram group - she's been rehersing as understudy for a couple of main parts for their next big show and someone pulled out last night so she's now got a main part! whoohooo!!! (God knows where she gets her confidence from - no way I'd get up on stage)

Right I'm off to munch my toast......pasta bake for tea so will get a bolognaise style sauce going in the sc for later.

    Have a good day all.

  • Morning all.

    Rainy here today in Southend.

    Work again...kids in daycare...

DH got me some purfume, bless him. I got him well, eerrmm, nothing. I bake him banana cake all the time though ;)

Dunno what housework I'll be doing when I get home. Probably give the living room a good going over. My hotspots have become fire hazrads! :D

    love to all

    Happy Birthday BargainBabe

    Congrats Gingham Ribbon

Glad I'm not the only non-valentine's fan. Just doesn't do it for me I'm afraid. Same with Mothers and Fathers days. We were always so grateful to my mum that she didn't agree with these days, it made her more special. She said we should love and appreciate her every day, not just cos the shops said to. I just need to stop DH signing cards for his mum and dad from the kids.

I missed the tiny window where I can leave the house and not get stuck in traffic for over an hour, so I'll go into work later. Thank goodness for flexi.

Just off to do a little ironing - we're going to my mums at the weekend so I need to keep on top of everything. (And not leave it til saturday like I normally do)

    Hugs to ageandjo

and hugs to kyle - good on you for doing something. Please let us know how you get on.

    Take care everyone.

  • Morning all,

Must be lots of loved-up OSers still being spoiled as its very quiet on here so far. Kaz, I'm like you. I would prefer to stay single rather than kiss far too many frogs to find the prince. Happy Valentines day to those who celebrate it though.

Happy birthday bargainbabe. ageandjo ((((hugs)))) to you and mr ageandjo.

Off to w**k soon. Boss is great as he lets me bring DD with me during school holidays as she is too young to be left at home. She loves to sit and gossip with boss' wife and even manages to do one or two jobs around the office. She is a star and boss gives her a wage of £2-£3 at the end of the day. She loves it.

Have to do something with the fresh meatballs I bought on Monday. Think I will do a tomato-ey sauce for them and serve it with pasta. I also have some chicken that needs attention so I can see lots of cooking being done this afternoon.

    Have a wonderful Wednesday. xx

Morning all, yet another Valentine free household here. I doubt if Mr Twit even realises what day it is.
I have been and unlocked the shop, at least there was no-one waiting on the doorstep this morning.
I'm at slimming class this morning, so I'd better go and cut up and test the apricot and ginger loaf that I have made for everyone to try.
As Mr Twit is trying to get all of our t'internet and aerial cables under the floor, the house looks like a bomb site. Spoke to my best friend last night, she is up here for the week and said her and BF might pop round this afternoon for a natter....help....time for some flying me thinks. :D

Kyle...I'm pleased that you spoke to OH last night, what a day you had.

Ageandjo....I know that PP has PM'd you, but there is also a sub-board on the debtfreewannabe board. Any questions you have, will no doubt have been asked before and people have shared their experiences of the whole procedure. Good Luck.

Hugs to all who need them :grouphug:

Ageandjo, and anyone who'd like one ((hugs))

    Congrats Gingham Ribbon

Another No Valentine Day here, but must add a couple of laughs went round to another class member to practice Spanish in Half Term. It is here Anniversary today and hubby came in with a cauliflower wrapped up in sellophane and tied with a Pink Ribbon. They both agree flowers today are a rip-off and they can easily afford them. She was delighted as he hadn't forgotten but used his imagination.

Talking also to a messenger friend made via family-history research who is from New Zealand married to a Yorkshire lad. Asked her and she said, we just get last years card out, we re-cycle them every year - but is his from Yorkshire! Well what could I add?

Meetings all day so won't get back on until later.

    Have a good Wednesday
