Hi, this is the Daily Thread for walentines day 2007 This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.
Did not seem to find a thread today, I have not really time to start one.
So Happy Valentines to you all anyway:heart2: :heart2: :heart2: :heart2: :heart2: :happyhear :happyhear :happyhear :happyhear

not sure whats going on here today dh has taken his lorry to be re-painted and has decided that as the weathers bad we won't be going to the factory outlet shopping
just put the wheelie bins out I used to put them on the pavement but I've had a lecture from the council about where I leave them so I've left them just inside the gate so it remains to be seen if they get emptied
need to put the bm on may need to get a wnew one soon this ones starting to make funny noises hope it lasts a bit longer but the poor thing is worked hard and I have saved much more than it cost in the first place
wm to go on and I need to sort the airing cupboard out as I bought the kids some new fitted sheets for their beds and need to sort the old ones for rags cleaning cloths ect they were a good deal 2 sheets for £8 and now they have their own colours so no arguments

Blimey - it's quiet on this thread this morning.... perhaps lots of breakfast in beds going on (hmmm, is that what they call it)
No such thing for me - I've been single for bloomin years now, and unless I can find mr perfect without sifting through the rest, then that's how it'll stay for the foreseeable future
Off to do some pampering today - we're doing a carers day with the college, so lots of people who deserve some tlc will be coming along and receiving some free treatments.
I hope everyone has a lovely day,

Morning guys
Happy Valentines day to you all.
OH in bed still so I will take him up a cuppa in a mo with his card and a box of choccies for him:D
W***k today then cook something nice this evening.
Had a long chat with oh last night and it looks like he is going to have to go bankpupt so I need to look into it in some detail - he has had his business for 10 years but recently it's been such a struggle and I am having to support him financially to run it and we can't pay for bills etc so it's time to have a serious think ( such a shame ) I hate it when things go wrong and to see him cry so I will I do all I can to help him.
I hope everyone has a love/fun filled day
Take care - x0 -
Morning all! I'm *home alone*. DH is off to w***, DD is at a sleepover and DS returns from Norfolk this evening.
I have a bottle of champagne from a *mystery admirer* (but one with very similar handwriting to DH). DH and I have been together for 20 years today, so took the opportunity of a child-free evening to celebrate one day early. Lovely night out.
I have a batch of marrow and ginger jam to finish today, then a swish around the house to get it tidy before the hoards return this eveningGoing to bake some muffins and biscuits as they're all bound to be *starving*.
Happy BirthdayBargain Babe
Ageandjo, bankruptcy has changed quite a lot recently from a few years back. It can be a real solution to a lot of people these days. I'm PMing you.
Have a great day, Penny. x:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -
Morning folks
No Valentines happenings here - think it's a load of commercialised rubbish.
Leaving for work in five mins and just putting my face on first or people outside would think it was Halloween :rotfl: :rotfl:
If I have time tonight (and if I can be bothered after a days work) I need to go and borrow my dad's scanner.
Quick tidy up when I get in and maybe stuff a load of washing in the machine.
Have a great day folks0 -
morning all
seems mild out today so i have switched the heating off, loved the story about the cat and mouse moggins, i can just imagine you will have forgotten about him this morning
congratulations to ginghamribbon :j
Happy Birthday bargainbabe x
hugs to ageandjo x love to all xx0 -
Good morning every-one, I hope you are all well. I also hope that those that celebrate valentines day have a really fab day. We dont celebrate it here in our house. My hubby`s idea of romance is giving me a tenner for the gas card!!After 26 years and 7 children i guess i am used to him:D I dont like the commercialisation of valentines day but if a bunch of flowers mysteriously appeared i wouldnt chuck them in the bin. I love the cards that i get that are made from my kids at school.Bless them.
Rest of the day will consist of me waiting in for a car part(sound familiar?) I waited in all day yesterday as the seller said it had been posted monday, gave me a tracking number and its clear they sent it yesterday as an urgent ,before 9 am post. Why lie with a tracking numberI need to do more washing, unload the dishwasher and i also want to go through the wardrobe in my bedroom as 3/4 of the clothes are unused and taking of space. I reckon i will never be totally clutter free but i aim to do my best.Anyway folks, have a great lovey dovey day. Hugs to those that need one.Love Elaine

Havent got his card yet, as he hadnt written it out.
Happy Valentines day to everone:beer:
Off to put brisket on in a mo.
Car will be back in garage today as long as the part comes in for the brakes, if not, maybe tomorrow.
Hugs

good morning
No valentines day celebrations here, we've renamed the day Halmark Card Day, in my opinion everyday should be special, not just one day of the year (but that's another rant!). However, for those of you that do celebrate it, I hope you have a lovely day.
Happy Birthday bargain babe, congrats to Gingham Ribbon and hugs to you all.
Lots to do at work today, plus must give my desk a good clean, it looks like our cleaners keep well away from our computers, so my desk is half covered in dust (the other half is covered in bits of paper, folders and books).
Grocery shopping for us tonight, don't actually need very much if we stick to the list so should easily come in under budget this month - yay. Am determined to use my BM more, so need to add to the list the things for making bread (must go search through the index collection for breadmaking), plus try and find the manual. Am tempted to try making pizza dough in there as we love pizza.
Have a good day everyone.Debts: Mum £3923 0% APR0
