HI, did a search for this but didn't find anything which covered my problem
I send and receive all my gmail via OE and have done so without problem for years. Suddenly since Wed/Thurs I can no longer send attachments from any account and get different error messages/codes depending which account I use.
I have checked all my settings and all seem correct as far as I can tell. I have carried out a couple of System Restore's back b4 Wed and then even earlier but to no avail. I have called my ISP (tho their web based email client is working fine for me).
I can receive attachments from other people with no problem, just can't send.
This has been driving me nutzzzz since Thursday more especially as I'm sure there is probably a simple answer to it but I just can't see the wood for the trees now.
Any /all ideas gratefully received.
Thanks

Is it a Virgin or NTL email account?
If it is, it's a server problem their end.0 -
To add insult to injury if I actually sign into each gmail acct I can send attachments no problem, BUT 2 copies are received by the recipient. So one method won't send at all...the other sends double...arghhhhhh!0

Might be useful if you give your OE outgoing server settings, especially the outgoing port numbers, settings etc on the advanced tab0

Outgoing is set at 25 which is the same setting I had b4 I formatted the laptop about 8months ago. (I took note of all the settings b4 formatting and put the same ones in when setting OE up again).
Non attachment email go out no problem thru that port.0 -
Seems like an A/V or firewall issue to me.
Do you run Norton, McAfee or Zone Alarm? If my post hasn't helped you, then don't click the 'Thanks' button!0 -
Could you take a look at the size of your OE folders - if close to the max that may be an issue?0
