I don't know if this glitch/bug is new or not as today is the first time I am properly using the new look forum as I have (up until today) stayed with the 'old look'. Anyway, the only problem I have so far is when on page 1 of a thread, if I click on quick links to see my subscribed threads the words subscribed threads are partially obscured by the facebook recommend link.
If I go back to old look then the problem doesn't exist because the facebook link isn't available in old look.
Just wanted to say thanks for getting this problem/glitch fixed!:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -
Hi
Thanks for the reports from those of you with IE9.
Can you make sure you've installed the latest updates from Microsoft? Although we can't promise that will fix it as it's not an issue at our end.
If the latest updates don't resolve it it's worth letting Microsoft know. If you can't wait until it's fixed, our techies have suggested trying another browser, surfing in InPrivate browsing mode, and uninstalling any browser plug-ins or extensions or trying alternative virus scanning or anti-malware software.
ThanksCould you do with a Money Makeover?

I use IE9 and the last URL I posted was 27 Feb, that went fine. I've had no trouble editing either.0

there's no problem with posting a link; it is when you embedd a link onto the text (if I've got it right) or click on the go advanced button or look at the preview that the whole thing crashes and it is entirely IE9s fault
apparntly adjusting the compatility mode helps but I've no idea what that means let alone adjust it; so I just gave it a royal ditch - I've been happy since I returned to my IE80 -

But I do have problems with the page loading slowly when you go to a thread. You see the top of the page first, then the whole thing renders (is that the right word?) the graphics slowly and you finally end up at the first unread post where you asked to be.0 -
I do all of those things routinely and still have no problems.

Absolute ditto (and on IE9). Albeit I had blamed the jitters on the page load as being the site starting to go to 'new look' default and then retreating to 'stretchy'.
But when I paste a quote into a post - as soon as I highlight and click on 'Wrap' - it immediately fragments the quote over several more lines. Initially it could only be corrected by cut / paste ..... but now responds to simply placing the cursor at the fragment point and then 'delete' to get rid of the spare white space. That has to be a site issue (?) ... doesn't appear to be happening elsewhere. If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0 -

I have also noticed that since the addition of the google+1 link it has caused the page to load slower while my browser blocks the cookie that it tries to plant.0 -
I am not sure if this is related to the recent changes as it has only just started happening yesterday.
I keep getting a box up telling me that I must wait 15 seconds between searches even if I have not done a search for a couple of hours.
I even had one that said I must wait 15 seconds between searches, you can search again in 16 seconds.0 -
Pages load slowly for me too. They get even slower if I have hovered over a thread title to see if it's of interest to me because the small box that comes up stays on the screen as a 'ghost' once I have clicked the thread title.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It can't be Microsoft's problem - Submitting posts/threads with hyperlinked text and using the advanced edit feature in IE9/Avant Browser worked perfectly until the January update.
I have tried the following steps;
Disabled all addons in IE9 - No Change
Reset IE9 and disabled all addons - No Change
Ran FixIt - No Change
Disabled Peerblock - No Change
Disabled Avast - No Change
Disabled Comodo Firewall - No Change
Started the computer in Safemode - No ChangeI do all of those things routinely and still have no problems.
I've just been through all your posts since the update in January and I couldn't spot any text to which you've applied a hyperlink.0
