Hope this is the right place, but is it just me who is having trouble with the pages taking a very long time to load. i have been timing them at between 13-16 seconds. It makes the site unusable.
If it ain't broke don't fix it - bring back the old version please!0 -
All tabs still crash in IE9 / Avant Browser when submitting a thread with a url pasted into it.
MSE Ian, MSE Joe and MSE Andrea haven't replied to any requests to know whether the issue is being looked into .0 -
Have you tried reseting the zoom?
Open the MSE forums in Firefox and then press "CTRL + 0" (zero).
Or you can reset from the view menu like this.
Perhaps it was coincidence or cosmic rays or something because after correcting the zoom - the MSE site has been working correctly again.0 -
Getting increasing annoyed that I have to allow www.googleapis.com via noScript when I use the forums. Right now, any post that I write vanishes once I hit Submit and this Google "feature" seems to be the problem.
I don't want to allow scripts on any website that I visit as that's a good way to pick up malware. So what's the story here??0 -
Still no change here, IE tab still crashing when posting with copied url. I assume that MSE are not interested as there has been no reply or any acknowledgement......
Whats the point of having a Forum Update Glitch List asking for a reply when no one can be bothered to offer any comment.Thoughts:

Editing posts in IE9 or Avant Browser using the IE9 rendering engine hasn't worked properly since the update.
Every font below 'Impact' is missing/inaccessible.
There are also issues using the return key for formatting when editing a post. Can the next update be tested in IE9 before being released?0 -
I'm having this problem, and also have IE9.I have similar in IE 9
Specificaly if posting with copied text,
Only on this site, when i submit a new post does IE crash. Message states its due to DPE.
Strange how its only on MSE and not on any other sites i regularly use so I'm linking it to the update. The forum has got even slower, it can now take up to 10 seconds between pages and it is making surfing round the boards intolerable.I'm an adult and I can eat whatever I want whenever I want and I wish someone would take this power from me.

The lag is not as long today, now down to about 4/5 seconds, I put it don to the facebook and twitter links at the top of every single page on the forum as during the delay in the page opening fully, I am shown the masthead before it jumps to the actual point on the page that I clicked the link for.
I am still seeing the same problem with the search boxes and button in the top left corner of the masthead, that has not changed from day one of the new layout.
ok this posted fine but I've lost a few posts today where it crashes, I think it's if I add links.
*checking... linky
Yup - that crashed IE and reopened it again.I'm an adult and I can eat whatever I want whenever I want and I wish someone would take this power from me.

I chucked out 1E9 and my IE8 was automatically restored and since then I haven't had any problems whatsoever.
IE9 is a troll.
I excused it for past couple of weeks thinking that it might be a case of me getting used to this 9th version or that it was having teething problems. But the problems persist; each updates give me a new set of problems spoiling my internet experience. Now all I have to do is to hide windows update asking me to upgrade to IE9 version.0 -
[STRIKE]I've just been able to submit a competition thread without crashing any tabs in
Avant Browser using the IE9 rendering engine.[/STRIKE]
Scratch that, all tabs still crashing when submitting a thread with a copied url.
Editing posts in AB/IE9 is still messed up.0
