Im pretty sure if i threaten them with the police this should nip it in the bud, the lady was columbian and hardly spoke any english and the husband was middle eastern and also only spoke broken english so really the daughter was the was we were all communicating!
 Thank the lord you got him out of there at whatever cost! I wonder just how they managed to get him in the first place, who from and for how much money. He might not even have been left with his mum for long enoughHe was very happy when i left him this morning with a stuffed puppy kong! Only thing is, i gave him his dinner last night and his breakfast this morning and he still hasnt been for a number 2! I have been taking him out every hour and hes been going for a wee. He was being fed by the previous owners bakers dry mixed with pedigree chum wet food. I have changed this to science plan and have been mixing a bit of bakers with this for the past day trying to phase it out slowly so maybe thats why!
I got him a crate yesterday as well which he seems to like he was curled up in it as soon as we got back with it but i didnt shut the door on it. He wouldnt sleep in it though and ended up in our bed again
I want to upload a pic but im on my work computer, can i upload a pic from my i phone? x
I know very young animals, any animals to be fair, can struggle with their digestive system with changes of food / surroundings and not knowing his history you can never be certain. I don't think it's a worry for a short period of time. It's probably just his little body sorting things out. If you're taking him to the vet for a check up they would advise I'm sure and might be good enough to put your mind at rest over the phone?
Not sure about uploading pics from phone. But we're all dying to see one0 -
Also is 6 months old the earliest they can be neutered?
There are pros and cons to early neutering (or to neutering at all, actually) so I would do your research. It might be worth finding a Beagle breed club or rescue to get some advice from people who know the breed - I know with "my" breed (GSDs) it's recommended to wait until the dog has fully matured, e.g. 12-18 months+, as neutering/spaying affects the hormones which can affect the growth and development of a dog.0 -

They usually recommend 6- 8 months to be neutered . My dog was at 9 months { and still crazy as ever} he is a Border Collie , so a working dog also.
Congratulations on your new family member , and all the fun for the best future with him
These idiots sound like they are on drugs { probably the crimes connected with that is how they came to get him in the first place }
I would do what everyone has suggested by ignoring all contact now and keep a close eye on him for a long while .
I also would not have him as your facebook profile picture in the distant future for a while , especially if they know your first name and general location - Just to be safe !!
I will look out for the cute pics your going to be addingEbay Bag A Day Challenge 2012- :staradmin

There's a good chance they haven't been feeding him much/regularly - partly due to cost and partly due to the effort involved in taking him out.
Have you tried massaging his tummy a little, to see if that helps shift things along? It's a good way to get him even happier than he probably is alreadyIf his belly is like a little drum, that would show a lot of wind, just like any other baby.
Point him downwind, though.
[I'm in favour of neutering Beagles, purely because, as a scent hound designed to track for miles and miles, one whiff of a female and he'll be stone deaf and halfway across London by the time you realise he's not recalling.]
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
I have now woken up to another text this morning just saying '£1000 please :-('
Do I just ignore or reply saying 'this Is harassment, if you contact me in anyway again I will report to the police'
Thoughts?0 -

Either ignore it or reply with 'what part of pi55 off don't you understand?'..of course, you're probably better replying with the police thing.
BUT..definitely don't take your eyes off the puppy at all when you're out. I don't know what their angle is, maybe I'm thick but I can't work it out ..but I'd like to bet if you did accept(and I know you won't)- there would be not a whiff of a penny.Ruaridh Armstrong-missing since 05/11/11. Come home old boy-we miss you x
If you can't stand behind our troops, please feel free to stand in front of them.
I will respect your opinions, even if I don't agree with them0 -
I would give one text that clearly tells them not to contact you at all. That way if they further harrass you, you can prove that you have specifically requested no further contact. If you've already done that, ignore this new message.0
-
They sound like proper pests. I would ignore for 24 hours and then send police message text.
As far as the little one's tum goes, if he hasn't 'been' yet, maybe a visit to the vet sooner rather than later might be an idea. I'm assuming he's still happy and chasing around, but if he's lethargic then I would go today.
Also, with the crate, if you leave the door open he will follow you upstairs! You need to close the door so that he can't get out (as that's the idea) don't make any fuss, walk away. With my Shepherd I also used an old blanket around the top and 3 sides of it so it sort of looked like a cave. (and make sure it is an old one as you may find bits of it in with him!), but after a night or two of whingeing he settle really happily in it.0 -
This screams of dodgy!
Especially if they don't work and can afford £700.00!
I would contact your local police liaison and tell them what has happened, they may not do anything, but if these people are up to no good at least you've got it recorded, and a decent officer may offer some useful advice too!
I'd be really tempted to call the benefit fraud line too.
Don't delete the texts as if it ends up more serious this is evidence, and don't reply or respond.
They sound a bit too panicky and desperate for comfort.0 -
I'd get in touch with your local police (do you have a safer neighbourhoods team?)
I don't know they just seem a bit desperate do you think he may not have been theirs to sell  now they are panicking trying to get him back..hope you get it sorted soon for your peace of mind so you can enjoy him0
