You are totally in the right, the pup is yours, get him checked over, microchipped and ignore any other texts or calls from the previous owner. If their child is crying/not eating/etc, that really isnt your problem.

Enjoy your puppy, you're going to have him for a long, long time!

Edit - if they don't work, where are they going to get £700 from?????

The puppy will have a far better life with you. Can you imagine that he has now got used to his life with you and then
plunging him back into a fifth floor flat, just going out once a day, I dont think so.

Just block the number, microchip him and move on.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

    If that!!!
  • Block their number.

Give the police a ring and tell them of the harassment. They may already be aware of the previous owners.
    I'm not that way reclined

Jewelry? Seriously? Sheldon you are the most shallow, self-centered person I have ever met. Do you really think that another transparently-manipu... OH, IT'S A TIARA! A tiara; I have a tiara! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me!

Ignore their calls, they have no info to be able to find you so i wouldn't worry!

Sounds like they've had someone tell them how much money they could have made or they've have had a higher offer or the breeder has found out they've sold the dog on..
    Do you have the papers?

I'd also see a solicitor if they calls don't stop, get advice from them & send the ex owners a solicitors letter basically saying the dog's yours now & if they don't stop contacting you, you'll take out a legal injunction against them.

Agreed, block their number and stop fretting. They have no idea where you live or who you are. Do get the pup chipped and if you live close to the people you bought the pup from make sure you have decent security in respect of your back garden etc. Be a bit vigilant when out and about for walks. Sensible stuff really.

Tell them to get stuffed. He's YOUR dog now and that's end of story! How confusing would it be for the poor pup to go back to them now?
