Seller wants puppy back........

I'll probably get shot down in flames for this but i bought a dog that i saw advertised on the internt - which yes i know i shouldnt of done and am now i suspect paying the price.

The puppy is 13 weeks old and the sellers got him from a breeder, he is pedigree, they wanted £450 cash for him.

Me and my partner went to look at him and he was being kept in a 5th floor flat with no space and only being taken outside once a day. The lady did cry when we took him but said she had allergies which was why they were getting rid of him - i suspect the couldnt handle him or afford him (they lept saying they didnt work and to go to the blue cross for treatment as its cheaper - they also seemed suprised when i said he would be nuetered as i could make money from using him to breed!!) They also wanted an additonal £30 off me for his food which i refused to pay and said i would get my own (it was a big bag of Bakers)

Anyway i love the puppy, we have a big garden and hes spoilt rotten and looked after, we have only had him since monday.

The seller has been texting me constantly asking about the pup and at first i didnt mind and reassured her he was fine. Then her husband text asking for the puppy back and that they would give me £550, i said no hes not for sale and that hes now part of my family. Then today the woman text me saying that her daughter wont eat and is constanly crying (shes 14) and that they want him back. She them phoned me crying and offered me £700 for him!!

Again i said no, i have fallen in love with him and would never send him back to live in a small flat where he was only allowed in one room!

Im now feeling very uneasy tho, they only have my first name and mobile number (didnt even ask for my address) but i feel uncomfotable about whether this is going to go any further.

Can they take the dog back? What should i do? Hes being micro chipped and checked over at the vets on sunday. I would be so gutted to lose him now.

Thanks everyone :)

They can't take him back once they've sold him, and where do you think they would find the money? If they want a puppy that badly they can afford to go out and buy another one. Just ignore their calls or text and get the puppy sorted at the vets.

Oh and put a pic on here so we can have a look! :)

Tell them politely to go take a running jump. You paid for a puppy that they clearly wanted rid of and now for some reason want it back (possibly for breeding?)

If I were you I would block their number! He obviously has a better home with you and the seller seems..odd!

We need a picture of him! :)

I dont understand, you told them you would not get the dog neutered so you could breed him and make money? Or did they think you could use him to breed and were crazy to neuter?

I would not give it back, block their texts or change your number and think no more of it. If they really cared they would have checked to see where the dog was going to be living in the first place.

Keep the puppy, ignore the texts. Eventually they'll stop trying. Don't even read the texts...just delete them/block their number. They sound very strange!

As above. They're upset - tough luck. The end.

Block their number - change your own number if you have to but don't respond to them AT ALL. They'll get the message!

    Pics please!
Just because it says so in the Mail, doesn't make it true.

The pup is yours, you paid for him.
Ignore and block their calls and texts and get him ID chipped and registered with your Vet ASAP.

    Pics please :)
Some days you're the dog..... most days you're the tree! :D

Read a story about this in a magazine a couple sold their dog after it bit their grandchild but then changed their mind, took the bloke who brought the dog to court and the court ruled the dog rightfully belonged to the man who brought him so tell them to sod off and if they harass you contact the police.
