    Dear Folks

Just to advise I have received my TV - it looks great A+. The only downside is the remote is a bit low-cost.

The HD performance (BBC HD Preview) is WOW!

The black gloss bezel looks nice and the black contrast is very clear.

Additionally, I had TV-Drive (Virgin Media PVR) installed yesterday and it is very good.

    ANDREW
I'm also thinking of getting the Virgin Media V+ HD service

What channels are available in HD ?????????

    Anyone ??

Just tried an American DVD region 1 documentary I have.

    It works fine.

    Thanks mate.
  • at the risk of being unpopular, i would openly like to ask everyone whether they would choose this over the LG 37LZ55 which is currently 599 at richersounds?

Seems very similar spec to the XV

I wouldn't be surprised if its the same panel (the Haanspree is an LG)

I think the XV would probably look better in the flesh.

Why not save a £100,there seems no real advantage to the LG apart from the more familiar brand name.
  • true very true
  • can anyone tell me the full size of this 37" TV please. Also I know nothing about LCDs other than the one in my bedroom is crap and jerks when i plug in the xbox. Will this one work smoothly on the 360 and will I see a huge difference. Currrently have a normal 32" tv. Thanks

    The size is 941 x 295 x 800 mm

    Depth of stand 295mm approx

Depth of TV is 130mm approx

There is very little motion blur on this set,but I haven't actually seen an Xbox working on it.

Most people with an Xbox and the XV say it's excellent.

There are some quality pictures of the xbox on the XV 32" thread on AV Forums

  • If anyone is thinking of buying the 37 XV Intekx on ebay seem to be accepting some very low offers.

Someone got one with a 2yr warranty and free delivery for £440 !!!!!!!!

Although some were declined at this price,so you just have to keep trying.
