Just to advise I have received my TV - it looks great A+. The only downside is the remote is a bit low-cost.
The HD performance (BBC HD Preview) is WOW!
The black gloss bezel looks nice and the black contrast is very clear.
Additionally, I had TV-Drive (Virgin Media PVR) installed yesterday and it is very good.

Let me request a big help from the owners of this model. Could anyone of you please please tell me if it can play NTSC DVD discs. Unfortunately I do have many of those.
The US model definitely has to be NTSC; but the European model seems not to be . They have not mentioned it in their website http://www.hannspree.com/eu/en/ under specifications . It is only PAL/SECAM compatible.
Could any one of you please check it ? Please..0 -

It's a TV and it's already been stated it displays NTSCA shadowy flight into the dangerous world of a man who does not exist.
A young loner on a crusade to champion the cause of the innocent,
the helpless, the powerless, in a world of criminals who operate above the law.0 -
Thank You Devild,
But please do understand that many of the LCD TVs which we get in UK are not NTSC compatible. Unless you are able to play a region 1 DVD disc you cannot vouch for any thing.
So if you have this model and also region 1 DVD , could you please please check it for me; whether you are getting the full colour video feed.
Please...0 -
Have posted some pictures here

The Incredibles is DVD and no matter how hard i try it still looks grainy.
In reality it isn't.
The other pics are taken off NTL (not HD) cable through scart 2
Still really chuffed with this TV for £500 !!0 -
thanks for the pics mate are u sayin that the tv looks grainy with the incredibles or were you on about the pic? also. how does it handle blacks and motion blur and the rest.... lol sorry to keep askin0

The photo is grainy not the XV picture.
I think the blacks are well........black
Although someone disagreed with me on another forum.
I can't seem to see this 'grey' black thing, even my Tosh 37WLT66 had good blacks......IMHO
The motion blur is definitly better on the XV than the Tosh.Infact I'm not really noticing it,so it must be much better !!
The football depends on the channel,UEFA cup on 5 is a bit pixelated.
Champions League was pretty good the other night.
BBC live tends to be the best transmission.
As for the rest;
Build quality - Excellent
Sound - Ok you can alter the Bass/Treble etc.Seems deeper bass on Movie sound setting.
Remote control - V Good/Responsive (the Toshiba's was useless)
Backlight Bleed - A slight amount of clouding but you can only see it on a black switching channel background
Viewing angle - One of the best I've seen, much better than the Tosh's
Colours - Not quite Sony Bravia W series but hey £500 !
For the money you really can't go wrong (+2yr warranty/LG panel)
Even buying a top brand and spending £2000 doesn't guarantee you a trouble free TV (Sharp 52XD1E anyone!)
Hope this helps.0
