Thanks Geoggy for the help. If someone could just confirm about the standard picture and fast moving images I might just get one!
nordberg, I don't absolutely need one now, but there are patches beginning to appear more often on my current TV and I'm not sure whether if I wait a few months, any other TV's will have come down to under £500 for 37". All the others seem to be a good £200-300 minimum and I can't believe they would drop that much in a few months.
Would I be able to view HD content from my PC on it though, as that would definitely be a big bonus until I get anything else in HD?0 -
yes you would - through the VGA input.0

I would be amazed if you won't be able to pick up similarly specced brand named TVs for this price in a couple of months time. The market is moving so quickly now... Technology is a tricky thing; knowing when to buy is so difficult.0 -
Anybody got any pics of the tv working then?? SD quality pics if poss!0

I think my brain might explode quite soon after all this wealth of divergent views on TV's! I have a 91 year-old mother who needs a 26" thin tele with built-in freeview. Waiting is all very well but, at that age, probably it's not appropriate! She doesn't want to pay for the top spec, but does need good sound and a clear picture with good colour. Can anyone suggest a good buy, not necessarily the cheapest, but something that will neither confuse her operationally nor have her yearning for her old model? (The stress of that will be more than I can cope with! )0

P.s. I would also like to know about its performance with SD (it will be hooked up to my sky box) and also its performance with games consoles i.e. ps2 xbox and the rest.!risheet_03 wrote:hi im new the forums but ive been reading all your info for ages (thanks btw)

Dear Folks
Just to advise I have received my TV - it looks great A+. The only downside is the remote is a bit low-cost.
The HD performance (BBC HD Preview) is WOW!
The black gloss bezel looks nice and the black contrast is very clear.
Additionally, I had TV-Drive (Virgin Media PVR) installed yesterday and it is very good.
