Its just over 15cm to the top of the speaker grill (where the LCD surround starts) from the base.

To the bottom of the LCD panel itself (ignoring the 6cm surround) it's 21cm from base.
They promised the earth...and delivered mud. Technically though it did meet the spec.

  • Dear Folks

I've taken the plunge...I'm going to collect from their Depot near watford today.

I have Virgin Media (aka NTL - TV Drive) being installed on Wednesday, and wanted to see what HDMI on the LCD would be like.

I also want to pay Wii tennis on a larger screen!!!

    I will keep you posted

    ANDREW
  • They have same address as Hannspree UK distributors and servicing dept, so am assuming they are one and the same so should be ok re not getting ripped off.

  • Im thinking of getting the 32" TV, can anybody confirm how many scart sockets there are?

Also, the website states that there will be a delivery charge (From UPS) but when i go to checkout, the delivery cost comes up as 0.00 for next day delivery - which has got me confused!

£357 does seem a remarkable price for this, considering delivery seems to be included

    2 scarts (http://www.misco.co.uk/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=265665&Tab=2&NoMapp=0)

    and delivery is free.

it says so at the top of the 32 inch page just under the man on the motor bike

    ;)
  • Really sorry about not sending the pics yet, I've got a huge mouth abscess which has knocked me off my feet.

A little bad news this time, one of our TV's is now DOA! Well the display is all red and goes under HannsG's 14 day DOA procedures. When I rang them to arrange this they needed an invoice, fair enough I emailed my receipt. I rang back and they said it wouldn't do as it had no invoice number. Lindsay from Intekx spoke to them and forwarded me some more info (paypal receipt and ups delivery note) and told me they would accept that.

I then forwarded this info to HannsG, they wouldn't accept this either, it must be an invoice with dates/invoice numbers.

Linsday then forwarded me an invoice which I passed on. They wouldn't accept this as it was .xls format and I could have done it myself.

After 10 minutes of shouting they said they would accept the attachments if they came from the Intekx directly.

I've passed this info on and hopefully this will happen soon so we'll see how that pans out :(

To be fair Lindsay from Intekx is helpful but in short hope your TV arrives in working order as you'll have a nightmare trying to get a new one under the DOA procedures.

    Martin.

Surely the retailer is responsible for an exchange unit, not the manufacturer.
  • Yep, you should have gone to the retailer - not the manufacturer/disty.
