Another quick update.
Setup my own on the PC while I wait on a stand and I'm running dual display as we speak. 1360 * 768 is just amazing, I've ran some HD WMP material and stunning doesn't begin to describe it. The blacks are very impressive and in general I'm very pleased. I've not fully tweaked the TV but suffice is to say I'm really impressed. I'll post a more detailed review later when I have it fully up and going. I've taken some pics but my webspace is currently down, feel free to mail/pm me though and I'll forward them on.
Of the 2 sets I ordered one had a lazy pixel which was easily massaged out and the other appeared to have one fully dead and one lazy but both massaged out easily.
For now good night!

Well just finished testing some HD stuff
Very impressive pictures - after I'd darkened the image slightly. I'd tested the same source material on a 50" Panasonic plasma recently and have to say I couldn't really tell much difference. Mind you I'm only looking at it from a distance of about 3 Feet to try and spot any dodgy pixels. Picture very sharp and colourful.
Main one I used for testing was a particularly sad DVD and WMV package from Amazon http://www.amazon.com/Fighter-Pilot-Operation-2-Disc-WMVHD/dp/B000A2XB9K/sr=8-1/104-3480608-8067158?ie=UTF8&s=dvd though I also tested with some Sky HD sourced and also some US HD sourced material (that has been overcompressed by the look of it).
One thing I have discovered on this TV that is very annoying is that you can't seem to change source when the source has dropped - I switched the laptop display off and then was left with a black screen. Pressing the source button on the remote did not bring up any menu options (had the same problem when I switched the DVD recorder onto timer yesterday and wouldn't bring up the source menu). The way out of this is to use the Program + / - buttons, wait a few seconds and then you can select the source.
Second day of owning and still pleased with it thoughThey promised the earth...and delivered mud. Technically though it did meet the spec.0 -
Can anyone tell me how wide the stand is? if it fits I'm getting one seeing as the price appears to have dropped to 493.50 + free del.

These tv's have got to be worth a try at these prices especially with the 2yr warranty.
I had a Toshiba 37WLT66 which was £800 that I returned after Buzzing on the backlight .0 -

Seen this posted elsewhere but it also applies to me so here goes. My centre speaker sits in front of my tv. If I buy this tv I don't know if the centre will be in the way of the screen
Can some kind soul who owns this set measure from the surface it sits on to the bottom of the screen and post the results.
