    hello!

I see some people are having low-days today - I think it must be the time of year or the moon cycle that we are all feeling so fed up this week:confused:
I must have eaten so many biscuits yesterday!!

Im feeling bit washed out, but better as apparently my curtesy car has turned up at home, car should be ready end of week. Just in the midst now of sorting out some work issues - just trying to remain calm as it will all "come out in the wash" as they say!

((Hugs)) to TM, kyle, bargainbabe & anyone else Ive missed!

    Have a lovely holiday amie!

gotta scoot but hope to be back later
    take care!
  • I don't very often post, but I've just sat and read the whole thread and just wanted to send hugs to all of you in need.

Ticklemouse - I'm extremely impressed you and your OH can be so grown up about everything - please please do everything you can to carry on doing so for the sake of your kids.

My relationship with my OH ended last April and everything has gone from bad to worse - the kids haven't seen their father since last August for reasons that would take up pages and pages and are too difficult to go into detail about, suffice to say he's involved Social Services, the Police, our friends and our family and made so many unfounded allegations its just unbelievable.

Keep talking, keep civilised and above all get your share out of the house for you and the kids (I think I can probably say goodbye to any money for years!! - but at least I've got the kids and we're safe and happy).

Anyway, this was meant to be a message of support, not a moan - SORRY

Everyone seems to have ignored your question on Valentines Day, what will DH of 33 years and I be doing, absolutely nothing.

For 365 days a year he loves and looks after me (no I am perfectly fit and able) always does the pots (the dishwasher is his, I dont load it right :j) helps gets the meals ready with me, sorts and puts the washing in when I forget (forgotten so many times now he's accepted it as his job), tidies up around me (tidiness is not my specialist subject but getting better though), cleans the windows (I got banned the first time I tried to do them for leaving them streaky) etc., etc.,

For this I can put up with the fact he doesn't believe in one day a year.

Don't get me wrong he is no angel and drives me mad from time to time, but I am sure I do him too! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Shez I think it was you with the car break ins over last couple of days. Expense I know, but would it be worth investing in a type of steering wheel lock which is very visible to the theives?

It may only take them 5 minutes longer to get something like this off, but it often sends them off to another car without one!

    Hi everyone!
Hugs to all those who need them. Not a very racy day planned for here today although when I get home I shall have a new carpet on my stairs and landing:j OS today has been putting the bin out [whoohoo!] and the bathroom cleaned. It's sardine burgers for tea and then straight out.....drumroll please......to help 20 very overthrilled 8-10 year old boys repaint the scout hut at Cubs for their DIY badge. Yup my name's come up on the rota. Small person managed to come home last week with every colour of paint all over him that there was and some of the colours weren't even in the room he had been painting. Motherhood:D
Hope you all have a good day.

  • was thinking about switching from electric toen meter to paying monthly.....

we found it easiler this way.... its easier to juggle things around a find the electric money weekly.....

but once the money comes through.... and everything is paid off etc.... and the bank account..direct debits for credit cards gone.... then will look into getting the meter removed......

    Hello All,

Hugs to Ticklemouse, you sound wonderfully strong, hope it goes okay with telling the kids, will be thinking of you.

Haven't read the dailies for a couple of days but hugs to all in need. Kyle, I think you've made a really brave decision, will keep all crossed for you.

Shez, read about your car, am so sorry, hope you made the meet anyway.

Today is last day at work this week, although will pick up my mails from home etc. Tomorrow is our wedding anniversary, we will have a day out with the kids and then dinner a deux in the evening. We'll go out properly at the weekend as find Valentines prices and crowds very offputting!!

Plans for the next few days are to spend lots of time with DH and the kids, including lots of baking, have a manicure, dentists. "encourage" DH to do some decorating, de-clutter the garage and last but not least tackle the last remaining hotspot in my house  ...under my bed. It's truly hideous and needs to be done, wish me luck.

Think I'll post that list on the Flylady thread to keep me motivated, thankfully the rest of the house is spotless as worked extremely hard over the weekend.

DH has taken DS for a haircut and then they're off to look at the animals in the pet store across the road. Anyone want to lay money on us having some aditions to the household when I get home?!!

Very long post, sorry!!! Enjoy your days all.

You hang in there. I don't know how you are doing it, I really don't. One morning taking my mother shopping does my head in. Any longer and I would be committing matricide!
What is it about taking mothers shopping that makes them such monsters.

    Mine belittles me big time:mad:

Thank heavens I live 450 miles from mine

  • Hi Guys!

We got back last night. Was suposed to be staying till tomorrow, but I had a call from my consultant and he could only fit me in this morning....nevermind. The rooms were lovely and clean but beds very uncomfy and I have come down with a rotten cold. We went to Newbury for 2 days then went on to Oxford where DD attended:D university and caught up with an old school friend who now lectures there. DD has decided that she wants to go there:confused: ..anyway it wasnt too bad but cost us a fortune in eating out:eek:

TM-Hugs, will MSN with you later. Im sure the boys will be fine and be glad that your happy with your decision;) Kids are tougher than we think and give them credit for. They will be fine-they have a great ma to look after and guide them through life. Chin up girl. What will you do with all your spare time if your downsizing:confused:

    Breakie: Egg & Bacon baguette
    Lunch: sausage roll
    Dinner: Sausage cassarole

    Hugs to all.

As you know we have the house for sale and pretty flexible about viewings.

Evenings and weekends with reasonable notice.

Most people are at work in the week and we are busy toinght and tomorrow tonight, so why does a viewer want to see it tonight, tomorrow night or in the day Friday?

There is the weekend and next week if she wants to come and see it but I hear my mother's voice saying 'you're selling, you have to accommodate others'

    I want to scream!!!!!!!
