    Good morning all,

After a very sad posting yesterday I feel much better today. The sun is shining and I'm feeling much less down.

Plus I'm spending the day with my 10 year old sister round at my parents house as they're both working. This means I get to sit in front of the fire eating someone elses food all day and watch kids tv! Ha! I think we're off to watch Charlotte's Web too. Lovely! :j I love being a teacher, this half term thing's alright after all.

Thank you to everyone who sent hugs and kind words yesterday, you really are all so supportive on so many levels. My avatar is Pippin who I lost yesterday as I wanted to share how beautiful he really was.

In return I send ((((((HUGS)))))) to anyone that might want/need one today.

TM - Sorry to hear your news, but as others have already said you sound very calm and I'm sure this was the right thing for you. Wishing you every luck and happiness for your future.

    Have a good day all!!!!

    Morning :hello:

Am feeling brighter this morning - the weather is helping, as is the fact that I refrained from switching on Radio 3 when I woke up this morning (this week they are playing wall-to-wall Tchaikovsky who is one of the most depressing composers that ever lived!) Mind you, I am going to a concert tonight too, which should be fantastic but which also qualifies as "depressing music" :o

It is a beautiful day - shame I am stuck in the office but hey ho :)

Thanks for all the Hugs yesterday, they DID make a big difference :)

    Ticklemouse, I have PM'd you :)
Gingham Ribbon - oh yes, today's the big day isn't it!!? Best of luck and I'll look forward to hearing that you have a healthy baby :j

Right, must get on. Lunch will be a portion of last night's chilli. Dinner - probably cheese & beans on toast when I get home from the concert.

Hope all the other people who were feeling down yesterday are happier
    this morning :)

    Love Rzl xx

  • Good Morning All

Amie399 - have a brill time, we have been watching our old Florida dvd's this week and cant wait. Kids look forward to the parks, oh & myself love all of it but especially the food!

    GR - good luck

    (((TM)))

Nicest day for ages today & Im stuck in my office. Dont mind really and kids wanted a pj day though will have to get dressed to take puppy for a walk later. DD is still in bed though is probably on her laptop.

Been good so far, have emptied dw and wm, cleaned kitchen and have descaled coffee maker with vinegar. Am now in my office just about to start mountain of paperwork. Hope my online banks arnt on go slow today - it makes a real difference.

Feel positive & upbeat which I think is down to the sun shining so hopefully will make a lot of headway. Sister is 'popping' round at about 11.30 which isnt great timing but know she is busy too so hopefully wont delay me too much.

Need to go now and get nose to grindstone. Hope you all have a great day.

L - english muffins with a variety of toppings.
D - hm burgers in buns with french fries.
  • Good morning to all, I haven't been around the boards much as I have not been well - Doc says sinusitis. I have medicine now so hopefully this headache will finally go!

I am thinking about you TM, sounds very much like my break up with ex. We decided civilly and broke the news to our daughter together (although she was 4 so who knows how much she understood). He went to Moscow and I stayed in the house, I have been there ever since for the last 3 years with new OH but we will sell this year. Good luck - tell the kids the hamsters can be replaced later with ones that don't eat each other!

Good luck GR - looking forward to seeing the results of your 9 months + hard labour!

This weekend we were supposed to have DSD2 but her mother decided to put pressure on her not to come and aged 6 she got her brother age 15 to call and say she was not coming. OH went from Bristol to Oxford to pick her up but although she was thrilled to see him and went to get her bag as soon as he said she would have to tell Mummy that she was going with him (mum was still in bed 10.30am) she changed her mind and said she had tummy ache and did not want to pass it on to us. My heart breaks for her, she is so worried about upsetting her Mum! I expect she will still expect her Child Support though - this is the other side of the story that you seldom hear about. The fathers that don't pay get the most publicity the ones that do even when being totally denied access for years are the ones you don't hear about. We have seen this child for 3 hours in the last 2 years!

    Sorry to go on.

Well ironing pile calls - hugs to all that need them.

  • Morning all,

Ticklemouse - ((((hugs))))) and all the best
    Gingham Ribbon - good luck

Quiet morning waiting for another oilman to come and quote for moving the oil tank. The last quote suggested putting a special one on top of the flat garage roof - it would certainly get it out of the way and apparently the oil tanker people are quite used to filling them uo there:confused: Then we're going to put a greenhouse where the tank is currently residing:T

No Beavers tonight as we're having a joint meeting with the cubs tomorrow instead so lovely quiet evening. We're having rabbit - which is fine- but I have to joint it in a mo - not so fine!!!!

Also want to try out my bike again this morning - for economy and health/ diet reasons. I used to cycle all the time when we lived in Cambridge but we must live in one of the hilliest bits of Belfast:rolleyes: Still I shall build up slowly. I have to lower the seat and raise the handlebars as I hate the mountain bike feeling of your posterior being higher than your head

Lunch: Leek and potato soup, oatmeal bread
Dinner: Rabbit with cider and bacon, HM tagliatelle, leeks and peas

    Have a good day everyone

  • morning to all,
luck and love to everyone who needs it. I was away over the weekend at my parents with DS so am trying to catch up with what has been going on. My parents are not very well so I had a really hectic weekend. DS got spoilt rotten as I was so busy - he basically got his own way and chocolate buiscits to keep him quiet whilst I was dealing with parents! So not surprisingly he is being a little monster today and is demanding everything and stropping when he does not get it!
I am on half term so my plan today is to do a proper OS/DFW shop. I will be going to Boots for toiletries, Aldi for tins, Pound shop for odd bits and bobs and the market for veg.
Tea today will be mash and gravy - yum yum!
    Have a good day everyone

    Hello again,

Gingham Ribbon - good luck for today, hope all goes well and we are all looking forward to hearing/seeing your new arrival xx

Ticklemouse - huge ((HUGS)) im sure the worst bit is over (making the decission) and that your boys will be fine, you have obviously thought about this and have sorted things out between you before telling the boys, so that will make it much easier for all of you. Like Pooky said, it will be such a weight off your shoulders, and i know from my own experience how much happier, and eventually sucessful ive been without my ex.

Havnt done much so far, just finished my paid2clicks, beds are made and bathroom swished. Really do need to get on and put the stew in the SC and then start on the living room. The 2 girls are here, but they have brought their game boys, so are quite happy vegging out at the mo - will get them helping with the cooking tho!!!!
Will be back later, take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
  • morning all,
    ((((hugs)))) to ticklemouse, moggins
and anyone else who needs one.

    Good luck Gingham Ribbon.

Amie399 have a really great holiday for us all stuck here. Look forward to seeing pics.

Well, I have really lost it, big time. Sent my recently widowed friend some chocs from thorntons as she was sick of having plants. I've only gone and had them sent to me!!!! and theres nothing that can be done about it, the cs advisor was so heartless she said if i'd phoned yesterday it would have been fine but as todays the delivery date (doh!) nothing can be done. So i phoned my friend, stuck both feet in - so she knows where they are from and obviously what they are. After chatting for 20 mins or so, I lost it completely and was laughing and crying at the same time. Had to apologise, she must think I'm mad!! Feel down now and I usually feel good after I have phoned her.

Anyway must get on and clean this house - I might have lovely organised cupboards but outwardly its a state (like me!!!)

Take care all, catch you later bbxx
If you don't have something nice to say don't bother saying anything at all.
  • Morning everyone

ticklemouse ((((hugs)))) As others have said it sounds as though you have made the right decision and so long as the children's welfare is at the heart of any decisions made then I'm sure they will be fine. Wishing you all the best for the future. x

    Amie have a fabulous holiday!

GR good luck! Please post some piccies as soon as you feel able.

cattie1 I would think that the letter would be delivered in time but the recipient would have to pay an extra charge for it to be delivered without a stamp. Can you forewarn them somehow?

Bargain babe ((((hugs)))) I'm sure your friend appreciated your kind thoughts and the fact that you were trying to do something just a little bit different for her.

Good to see that a few of those who were down yesterday feel better today.

DD has just come out of the shower and DS is about to go in. Then DS is meeting a friend at the cinema so DD wants to go bowling with me. I'm good for one game and after that I am totally rubbish so I imagine we will play at least two games. ;)

Have a terrific Tuesday everyone. xx

Oh, and csarina please don't stop posting. Everyone has a valuable contribution to make to the OS thread.
