Hello everybody and hugs to all who need them (that was my best Rabbi Lionel Blue impersonation
).
Today and tomorrow I will be having a couple of days "chillin'" (as I believe the expression is) before my op. That said, I have done some private work this morning - just tidying up. My Consultant has got a new job and will be moving far, far away from me so bang goes that private work. However, I have also in a piece of masterly timing signed up to a digital transciption company so I will be able to do medical typing at home when we need the extra cash (so that's all the time then  ). Not that bothered really as the work I do for her was getting a bit much as I was doing all the admin as well and dealing with private patients when they rang me (at any time!) as well so it'll be nice just to plug in and type. Anyone wants details just PM me.
We're having pasta bake for dinner so in true OS style I will be putting a couple of cakes in the oven - "Never have an oven on for one thing" - and so sayeth Rage's late Mum. Breakfast: fruit for me and toast for Mr Rage. Lunch was tomato sandwiches for me with lots of black pepper and I think Mr Rage had ham (again...). We watched The Truth About Food that we'd taped all about superfoods the other day so tonight with the pasta bake we're having spinach, tomato and red onion salad as Mr Rage has declared we should each spinach once a week (like I haven't been saying that - d'oh!). Good job I bought some spinach seeds the other day then.....:A
As for Valentine's Day - I probably won't be on here as we are going to the Trafford Centre where Mr Rage is buying me some new slippers - I said I could get them off the market but I think he wants to make a fuss of me. I can also take all my vouchers too!!! hurrah!! Then he will be making me ceasar salad followed by sticky chicken with pak choi and rice and I may persuade him to buy something really gooey for afters!!
Right I'm now off to psyche myself up for "Life on Mars" - we may have to watch The Sweeney to set the scene - "It's 1973 and I'm havin' hoops" :rotfl: :rotfl: I wish it was, I'd be 8 and the world was a lot easier to get my head 'round!!!
Ta TaBut I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green

Oh Dear
I am here to confess.
Went into town today to buy DH a valentine's card.
Decided I NEEDED some concealer - so I chose one, then decided I NEEDED some powder too, oh, and there was some lovely eyeshadow sitting there calling to me, so I bought all three. Oops.
All I can say in my defence that none of it was on the credit card (as once it would have been).
And I can wrap one of them up so the kids can give it to me for my birthday.
Confession over (and don't I look lovely?)

TO ALL WHO NEED ONE TODAY.
Thinking of all of you today.
Work has been mentally hard today, my brains are fried!!
I have plugged in the sewing machine and intend to make a start after I have done this. We have settled on pasta and HM sauce for tea tonight and those lovely spring rolls tomorrow.
The house is tidy and the ironing pile has grown nicely after 2 washes - unfortunately!!!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
The cardiac nurse has phone today and told OH that they have bought the date of his op forward ????? We haven't even had the original date yet. Still it means that we are on the right road to getting him completely better.
I hope you all have a good night .

Glad you had a nice time PP - hope the cold's better soon.
Peem - A little pampering now and then does wonders - enjoy your new makeup.
Hugs to those in need.
Got loads done today - We've been for a lovely walk, popped into the farmers market for some veg, done some painting, DD's have bounced on the trampoliine, they've played together nicely  with bratz and dolls house and they've even helped wash and wipe up without being asked. I made 2 huge cushions for DD1s room - used up our old duvet for the filling, altered some jeans for DD2 and made a turkey and veg pie for tea.......Oh and ordered the tesco shop to be delivered on Thursday (no DD's all weekend and I won't be spending the time in tescos!!!
)
DD1 just popped to the shop for some cough sweets and came back with 2 dvd stands and a cd holder - all in silver/chrome......they were outside a neighbours house with "free to a good home" on them.....I mentioned that we didn't actually need them but she said - I'll sell them when we do a boot fair - I'm saving for christmas! bless!!

Me again,
Can I just say a huge bravo to all on here who are parents! I love and adore mine and know how much they do for me, I'm also a teacher who looks after 30 5 year olds every day but I've spent the day with my 10 year old sister and I am exhausted! I nearly fell asleep in the cinema!
I don't know if it's being the big sister but she decided today was question day! I have explained periods (uh......no you don't swallow tampons to put them in!), falling in and out of love, why having a crush on a tv star is ok but not love and step and half families! (She's my half sister and didn't understand it fully - though my parents have explained it on more than one occasion!).
Then there was the continual question "what shall we do next?" Next.....?!? There has to be more............
We're spending the day together tomorrow too. Yay! HA! :rotfl:Wandered away from the MSE track for a while but am back and on a mission! Debts cleared nearly £18k. Now to start saving ...0 -

Awww loumac your sister sounds adorable!!
I love being a teacher too but it wear me out something rotten! I would love to be a Mum though, give it 5 or so years and I hope that we'll be starting up our own little clan!
I miss teaching girls though, I teach at an all boys school at the moment and there is something about girls that I just connect to. I guess that's why Guides is so important to me.
Anyone else involved in Guiding here? If so, what are you doing for Thinking Day? We are off to the British Museum on Sunday, I can't wait! Plus I don't have to pay for travel up there, my ticket, or the pizza afterwards.... *very* OS!!
Pooch is still getting over his op, he is very sleepy but is trying to fight it, bless him. Just had a counselling session too so I'm as drained as he is. I have a feeling once these sessions are over it'll be CBT... I'm just worried about the cost and whether we'd be able to set up Bupa and get it through there!

Decided to keep DS2 at home, as DP is just leaving now, didn't fancy trying to put an overtired 6 year old to bed when he got back. Just had dinner, did some lamb in SC, was lovely, I adore dumplings made in there

My DP is getting more worried about me, first I'd rather cook from scratch than bung in some ready made rubbish, then I improve with housework/being organised, then I did a junk clear (I am a HORDER, no THEE HORDER! or at least I was) and now I am considering buying a sewing machine. I think he's going to seek medical advice as to if I need some help! One day I might be more organised...........
