O and according to scales I have lost between nothing and 4lb this week. It varies, so off to use some more reliable scales I think!

So been up for ages, worrisome random dreams about money and houses. CV has been written, proof read and now DH needs to get it online and with the relevant agencies.

I have checked through all the stores and we need some more staples like pasta, flour, and I will be keeping an eye out for cheap veggies I can portion up and freeze as we have almost nothing left on that side of life.

Been back through the finances and simply there is nothing left to cut apart from food and my pension contributions. We have looked at the car and as we owe money on it it will cost us a lump sum to get rid of it and I have to have a car for work, which lets face it is going to be critical is this SHTF scenario. DH will have to consider his vehicular situation.

So nothing has changed on that score. Will be doing an investigate on food front and trying to persuade DH to change his views on some things.

Right time to attack the food purchase entities as the YS a rumoured to be occurring right about now ......

So the outcome of the R package makes life less clear. Whilst we can do something great with the loans and so on, it still leaves the day to day expenses of life very much unaccounted for. The mortgage being the worst of it then. And of course no job make remortgaging nigh on impossible. And there is only so far you can cut day to day down to size when you have done a fair impression of a clear cutting bush whacking exercise already!!! At a push and assuming we sell all the bits we can (his car being one of them) then we can possibly survive, and I do mean survive - as in there would be nothing for "an event" of TSHTF variety or dinner out, or food prices going up, or dog going to the V.E.T. or in fact anything. Including if the tenant doesn't pay ..... and heaven forbid if anything happened to me (self employed so no being poorly I can assure you!)

And in this day and age there is no guarantee of DH funding other work - although the sad fact in any income would be better than no income at that point.

The risks are VAST to us. Talk about knife edge I can't think of them any more - making my brain buzz. So I am going back to work to do something else which is scaring the !!!! out of me - gap analysis in preparation for the gap analysis being done Monday and this is all after I have just heard the blinking contractor I am using is now using a third party so I have to review ANOTHER blimmin contract today before I am off out for 2 days - typical. Why can't people be clear on what they are doing?

I do empathise with the continual money thoughts and worries. Is it getting any clearer yet?

It is almost the weekend and time for you to take life a little slower. It sounds hypocritical from me, but try to put the money to one side and have some doglet fun time.

Well that was a right so and so of a week. Have just found my desk under the mountain of paperwork left for me whilst I was out for 2 days! And my inbox has been cut down to a manageable size. Still got things to do in the inbox but the to do can be seen from the mess now. The gap analysis is what I am paying a consultant for so wiped from the to do list and I have replaced it with a review report item. I think I can do something more productive with my time.

We have possibly a little unexpected welcome money coming in - a friend is working local to us and is going to ask about his company paying us for a room rather than forking out for a hotel room for him. We need to check if this is under the rent-a-room scheme and if so then could be a positive even if it is not a lot a week. Not sure if its an invoice thing or he gets a stipend instead of the hotel bill being paid or what.

Aside from all that, I have relooked at matters fiscal - my head is again buzzing as a result of this, and the conclusion I can make is well undoubtedly we will survive but quite how is an altogether other matter and I will have to just get on and sort out the mess.

This weekend I have a stunning to do list:
wash car and hoover - it is atrocious
mend jacket and replace button on trousers
    clean boots
sort out spare room from last weeks visitors
    read something unrelated to work
    Have a nice afternoon snooze
Do a bit of baking if I can be bothered
try and switch of buzzing brain

And now I have the deep joy of HR related work appointment number 2 of the day ..... deep breath and focus.

Have a good weekend one and all

Oh well it is officially raining in this house, have just taken the meter readings for the gas and electric and we are £300 in DEBT to the poxy company, I knew the blinking DD was too low. So now I have to try and work out if the DD will balance out or if there needs to be drastic action.
