My mate also used it to find her partner

Wow! Thanks for all the replies - it's very encouraging to read all the success stories and the kind things that have been said on here! :-)
Reading all the messages in this thread has given me a new determination in finding my special lady - she's got to be out there somewhere and, when I do find her, doing all this will feel like it was worth it all in the end.
I will definitely keep you all updated on here on how it goes!
Thankyou all!

I've heard very good things about eharmony. I know someone that met their spouse through this site and they are now married with 2 children and very happy. They both thought eharmony was a great site.MSE mum of DS(7), and DS(4) (and 2 adult DCs as well!)DFW Long haul supporters No 210:snow_grin Christmas 2013 is coming soon!!! :xmastree:0

Just a word of warning regarding eharmony, it used to be a very religious oriented dating site - so much so that you were unable to make profiles as an athiest or didn't answer their faith questions the way they liked, they simply said they couldn't help you. It may not still be like this, I've never tried to use it again.0 -

Eharmony said it couldn't help me as I was technically still married (seperated).. you have to be divorced, single or widowed for it to allow you to use its site.
I'm just having a nosy on the dating sites to see what its all about and it scares the hell out of me TBH... I get msgs from people who are old enough to be my dad. I'm not that bad, honest! As somebody mentioned previously, I think some people are on these websites looking for models / hunks etc; and anybody average / ordinary looking or dare I say carrying a few extra pounds don't seem to get a look in.0 -
These sites seem to require a thick skin by the sounds of it and a radar for halfwits.
I've only signed up to plentyoffish so far, and wondering whether its best to sign up to a few sites or just test the water with 1.Mo Money Mo Problems0 -
