  • I liked Match but it is just too expensive, last time I joined with with a discount code but they don't seem to send them out anymore.

I have been trying internet dating ( without much success ) and was just about to give up when I started getting e-mails from this really nice sounding guy.

We have been exchanging e-mails everyday for about 10 days, they are not that newsy but really funny, we haven't exchanged loads of personal stuff about one another, the are really light hearted and he seems really cute and funny.

On Friday, I got an e-mail to say that he had been unable to get back in contact properly as he had a drinks thing, he was a bit tiddly but really liked my last e-mail and would get back in touch over the weekend - but I haven't heard from him since.

We have been using our own e-mail address, but he hasn't logged on to either his myspace account or the site that we met through. The fact that I have checked those already makes me feel like a bit of a stalker, but I am a little bit worried about him.

Which sounds really odd, but he has been really consistent about getting in touch and the e-mails were going really well, I did get in touch on Saturday but didn't on Sunday, I do acknowledge that stuff comes up or he might have changed his mind about emailing me.

So my question is should I drop him a really brief chatting e-mailing just to see how he is - or completely leave it and just probably accept that it was a laugh for a couple of weeks.

    What would you do?

I have seen many times that most of the people visit on these dating sites just for fun and they make people fool.So i would say that just leave him or forget him.I don't think he will ever come back.

I've been on dating sites for about 5 years

Tried Girlsdateforfree and it was ok, but i hate the fact you get lots of messages from girls till you pay the membership and then they strangely all disappear

Currently on POF, Had hopes of it as a few of my friends- female and male- had met people off there and seemed to work.

Now been there for 2 years and had just a few dates, which didn't lead to anything unfortunately.

I live in constant hope that there is that person out there for me.

I say good luck to us all
girls date for free, benaughty.com, they are part of the easy date group (I think thats there name) they are notourious for the false message, then sign up and ladies disappear.

My advice is if you haven'tuploaded a photo or written anything in your profile and your getting messages its probably a warning sign

I have been married to my DH for 7 weeks now and I met him on Match.com 20 months ago. I had been on dating sites on and off for about 3 years, had met a few blokes, sent quite a few emails, quite alot of winks, recieved a few back etc.. he was the first one that made my heart go boompety boom though!! ;)
Anyway i thought I'd recommend a couple other websites that I tried that were quite good..my single friend, which I loved because you didn't have to find things to say about yourself and worry about sounding big headed :o! and Muddy matches, which is aimed at countryside lovers ;)!! Muddy matches also do quite a few social events, which were quite fun!!
