Morning all (just about morning still). Done most of my flying before I turned the computer on. The day just disappears otherwise.

    Morning everyone
Half term is here, we are about to take the puppy for a long walk although DD not impressed since puppy ate 2 of her clip-on hair extensions.. Well, that should teach her to leave them on a low level table. Luckily the puppy did not eat the clips...

This afternoon it will be a trip to the library, weather looks a bit dodgy so better go and get a DVD just in case. I worked until 22.00 last night, hostel was quite restless and tempers were flaring a bit so it will be nice to have a quiet day today ( optimistic note here since DD is 10 and DS 8, sometimes they can bicker for England).

Wishing you all a really good day, mmm now some :coffee: and biscuits.

Morning All (Well I haven't had my lunch yet!)
Took me until now in bits and bobs to read the thread.

I agree with lil_me Lelc £200 sounds over the top, and possibly a Dealer price. Have a look in yellow pages for an independent garage or even a mobile car fitter, I am sure that with a |Haynes DIY guide I could fit one myself. (Never need to though with a family of fitters!) Don't be mis-led by it being a dealers that you get qualified personnel, you don't!

As for feeling blue, I know what you mean, I have absolutely no reason not to feel on top of the world, but must need some sunshine or something cos just do not want to do anything. Don't have a choice though as I am at work and have two people off today. The cold virus is crippling us.

Hugs to all who want/need one.
    Take care

I often get bad days and I have no real reason to feel depressed. Don't get me wrong, I don't want a real reason but sometimes I feel such a fool sitting here crying over nothing.

I can't help anyone, but I can sympathise.

Lil-me, Shez, Peem - thanks for you support (the thanks button isn't working)

Apparently my car can pack up at any time and, out of desperation I phoned the garage, but they can't look at it until Friday. I really need my car as I live 20 miles from work in an area that is not well serviced by public transport. My dh is being a real darling and is borrowing a car from work so that I can use his for a couple of days. Hopefully we should be able to get a spare part in that time.

You're right Peem, I should be thankful that at least there is some extra coming in at the end of the month. A major lottery win wouldn't go amiss as well though.

Morning all! Sorry to see there are some very miserable OSers today.

Shez - that's awful, I can't believe the little ****** came back for another go! hope the garage manages to fix it pronto ((((HUGS))))

Bargain Rzl - ((((HUGS)))), I'm sure you will feel better if you can get a good night's sleep tonight, but maybe you are doing too much and need a few days off for a bit of "me-time" if possible? You kept going throughout all the stress and delay of getting your flat, perhaps your body is reacting to that now and you need some rest. Thinking of you!

    Moggins - ((((HUGS)))) I've pm'd you.

Not doing a lot today except trying to stave off the cold which was kindly passed on to me by DS, and telling myself I will eat less. and cut right down on chocolate:A . We went to Bruges on a daytrip before Christmas and bought loads of lovely choc - seemed a good idea at the time, but of course it isn't, not when you can't exercise! Will try to get rid of a couple of lbs before we go on holiday in 2 weeks. Still can't decide what clothes to take, and the new security arrangements at Heathrow seem totally confusing even after reading them three times:confused:

DH has gone to a meeting with his personnel officer and union rep to discuss what happens now, as medical retirement has been refused but he's not well enough to go back to work. The meeting was meant to start at 10.00 and I thought he'd be home by now - no idea whether to go to the baker's now and hope he doesn't have the same idea on his way home, or to wait for him - better not try ringing him as he'll either be still in the meeting or on the way home:rolleyes:

Oh well, best go and have one of the *delicious* Zinc and Vitamin C lozenges I found in Holland & Barrett:p and do a bit of hoovering, and will pop back later.

Shez check on your insurance about a courtesy car, if it says they will provide one give them a call. Shocked he came back, my DPs brother caught a lad in his car recently, to say the theiving idiot got a shock was an understatement. Guess what, he was back out of the police station same day and at it again!!!

Lelc - Alternators are an easy fit usually, depending what car it is, where it is and how the belt goes round, I have done one myself before :) (I don't mind getting my hands dirty ;) ) Ring round for prices, like everything else, if a garage thinks they can overcharge you they will, my DP it out fitting bushes on our car now that a garage wanted £300 to do, like heck when he can do it in a few hours!

Hi Yall, it must be the feeling rubbish day today:rolleyes: Hugs to Bargain Rzl, Moggins, Shez and anyone else who need one.

After weeks of scrimping my paid2click money so that we can eat out tomorrow when I take the MATHLETTS over to the coast to check on our place there mini MATH has just put a football through the kitchen window. At £45 an hour or part thereof, plus parts, vat, pmt, itv and anything else they can stick on to get it re-glazed within the hour (I need to go out) I think we will be lucky to run to curly sarnies eaten at a layby on the A46:o

So if Bargain Rzl is starting a "fed up, cheesed off, sick to the back teeth, bite my own bum if I could reach it group", then I'm a fully paid up member today!

Definately a feeling rubbish day, I blame the weather. I did find a Turmeric remover by accident which I am happy about (have posted it), but after that I tipped over a pot of lentils, the lid was loose and it went flying. I've left it and made myself a coffee, before I get all annoyed with myself! Will do it in a mo when I have stopped grrrr-ing with myself. They just scatttered everywhere, I'll probably be finding them for weeks!

Math can you not claim on the house insurance for it? Excess payable of course in most cases, but still depends what cost will be. We recently had to pay for a window but just bought the glass cash, wasn't very much, luckily just the glass as DP fitted it himself (his Mothers window, she'd locked him in by accident and he put his hand through when climbing through it) He did of course leave a board up and a note saying 'Borrowed window, back soon' :rotfl:
