Oh dear, it is truly a blue monday on here today! (((hugs))) to everyone who is having a bad day or feeling miserable.
Today is technically my first day back at work (even though I'm working from home) after the lurgy, it certainly knocked me for six, I can't remember being that ill for a long time. I lost another half a stone during the week, I looked like I was wearing someone elses jeans yesterday!
I'm wating for the "dent man" to come & fix the dent in my car door - hopefully it will pop out nice & easy so you can't see it. Why aren't people more considerate with their car doors in car parks
Tuna nicoise for tea - bit unseasonal but what the heck! I also need to do a pile of ironing, but I swished the bathroom before breakfast :A
Best crack on, I have an ultra important tender presentation to do tomorrow & I've only read it once so far! :eek:0 -
Here's one to set the cat among the pigeons! Today's Guardian has an article on Gillian McKeith, and after some investigation from the Advertising Standards Authority, she's agreed to no longer use the title Doctor, as it may be misleading. Read the full article, *A Menace to Science*, here.donny_gal wrote:
Think we should all be careful with the luck not being with us today. I saw I had a new PM, opened it up, no new messages, looked at the last one received, opened it it was two days old and read, so deleted that one, and my post count went down by 2
Odd isn't it. Until recently I had over 15000 unread PMs in my inbox!!!

Good Afternoon All
finished work an hr ago, had a quick tidy around, and put the WM on.
I knew DD said she was having a lazy day, and came home to find her still in her pj's (cant fault her!) Didnt think she would actually go thru with what she said!
Shez cant believe the !!!!!!s for doing it again. Have the police said anything (or little as they usually do) As for the courtesy car, providing you are fully comp insured, you should get one automaticaly (providing there is one available) and they will use that as an excuse, keep on at them!
(((HUGS))) Bargain-rzl, I was feelin like this a couple of weeks ago, its not nice, and I can understand where your coming from. It does get better. Cry if need be, you will feel better! (((hugs))) to moggins also
ageandjoe hows your back?
(((hugs))) grannybroon hope your feeling better!
Not much other news, took me a while to go thru the junk mail from todays post! If they enclose a pre-paid envelope, I usually put the junk mail in that envelope & post it back to them! Hint to say - dont bother sending me any more! Plus they have to pay for the pre-paid envelopes, so by getting their junk mail back, they might cut back on sending any out! lol
Im going to be naughy now, and snuggle under my quilt for an hour, before OH gets home from work. Im cold, tired & got a headache
Be back later
Bye for now

My dog's eat most things but I have never found them scrounging banana skins What dog's are they??
Both crosses, pup is cross between everything I think, she's a right mix up, other is a lab/spaniel cross. It's the pup that's got the banana skin thing mainly, other will take one off her for the heck of it. Others habit is worse, horse poo! Makes me feel sick when he even tries to pick it up!
grannybroon hope you are feeling better soon
Just collected kids from school, I'm soaking wet (dogs got my waterproof coat filthy this morning jumping up at me when we were down the woods) hoping DP is back by 7pm as I am mean't to be going to a meeting. One day I might be more organised...........

Maybe sit down fish and chips is back on the menu for tomorrow:drool: just off to check the weather forcast and have a gander at the promenade webcam - see what's cooking.

afternoon all,
I have done loads of housework today before getting on here, knew I wouldn't get off once I started - no willpower for anything.
So many people are down ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) to shez, moggins, bargain rzl, ticklemouse, and anyone who i've forgot to mention, or just who needs one today.
Grannybroon, hope your feeling much better - I was wondering why we hadn't heard from you for a while.
I am going to go and get on, you've never seen so much rubbish - now the kids are older I have decided its high time I moved the medicine (in kitchen cupboard - where even I couldn't reach!) to their rightful place in the bathroom cabinet. I have a whole bag full to take to the pharmacist to get rid of!!!!
Have a good afternoon and evening peeps, I am off to help at the disabled club for a valentine disco tonight, so won't be back on. Bye till tomorrow bbxxIf you don't have something nice to say don't bother saying anything at all.0 -

Afternoon All
(((hugs))) to those feeling low - know what its like. Not feeling that great myself but think thats to do with the horrible wet weather and half term. Been to the Zoo today and missed the worst of the rain but it was generally drizzling most of the time.
Have got to make a couple of phone calls then am gonna make a log fire and veg in front of the telly. DS is going round a friends and DD will probably stay on her laptop. Think she wants to make cookies.
Not sure whats for dinner as we had big lunch at the Zoo.
Enjoy the rest of the day.0
