Looks like lots of you need hugs today - so *hugshugshugs* from me to you all: I'll try and send positive thoughts out your way...

Been a rainy day today, busy in fits and starts in work. Got some shopping done on the way home so mince for tea which was nice. Need to get a bit of tidying done before I finish for the day, and promised to make a poster for someone so will get cracking with that in a minute.

Kyle - remember, if the tips I gave you don't work out I'm denying any knowledge of them :p

    *hugs* to all as usual.

    Hi Everyone

Still not up to speed and had a quick squint at you all tonight. Thanks for your good wishes.

Will be keeping in touch best I can. Had a squint at the London pics - you all look fab. I love the caption competition. Loved Math's comment!! Is this the easy way to get a lift? Should we try it!!!!

    Love and hugs

    FOR EVERYBODY TODAY.

Good evening all. not much done here today, I fell asleep after work and managed to loose an hour. The 2 eldest have been acting up and have managed to break their DVD

OH is very tetchy and bad tempered again today, and I have been playing referee again, he is also very tired and breathless and I expect the underlying cause of his mood is his health.
I have told work that I will at some point have to take time off as he will be having an op and they have been absoloutely brilliant. Fair play to them as I am a new employee and I have been worried about the effect all of this has had on my employment.

Anyway I need to organise the latest round of paperwork and bills and work out where we are up to before bed.

    Good night all.

But as I missed you today (sorry about that) Frizz went home with two huge bags of shortbread so maybe she won't be so slim by the time she gets through all of that :rotfl::rotfl:
Oops, sorry Nels, I think I came home with your bag too. :o If it's any consolation, it does get a bit sickly after 20 or so pieces. :rotfl:

Really lovely to finally meet you yesterday, and a pity things didn't work out today.

  • Hi everyone.

Oh no we've all got the Monday Blues (well some of us). Well it can only get better, we just need to get monday out of the way first.
I didn't post yesterday as the site was slow and 'doing my head in' (local catchphrase). DH has gone away until Wednesday, leaving very early this morning and leaving me a Valentine's card to open on Wednesday morning, aah!
My chest infection is slowly shifting but I have a really annoying cough, which won't go down well when I take the kids to the cinema tomorrow. We're going to see Arthur and the Invisibles (their choice) and then we're having our tea out somewhere.
Right I'm off to do the ironing.
    Have a good evening.

    Good evening everyone,

Had a busy day today, but managed to get lots of cleaning done, so thats good.
Have my friends DD staying over tonight as she is still trying to sort out her visa to Oz, so she has to go to London tomorrow at 4am, to try and get it in person - so she needed someone to look after her DD and take her to school - im glad to be able to do this for them, as i will miss it when she goes.
Have a busy day tomorrow, as i have 2 girls here who come during the holidays, it will be strange having them here, as normally my 2 are off at the same time. Didnt do the cooking i was planning, so i will get them to help tomorrow, they will enjoy that.
Right, off to get ready for bed i think, extra hugs for all those who need/want one, hope everyone has a good night, and feels better/happier tommorow.
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hi Loumac...you mope all you want, you have lost a very dear friend and you are of course very upset. I am very sorry to hear the news about your cat. I fully understand how painful it is. Big hugs to you.

PS: My avatar is Henry, a stray who chose to settle down with me for several very happy years, and who passed away in September 05. I still miss him very very much.

    Hey all,

I haven't had a chance to read all of the thread yet but wanted to say hi to everyone that's feeling down. It's very wet and windy here and considering it's the first day of my holiday I'm not feeling that great either.

I know I shouldn't mope and don't want to add to the depression but I'm really suffering today as my beautiful cat died last night. He wasn't even 4 years old and was such a healthy, happy boy it has really shocked me. It didn't help that I watched him take his last breath and couldn't do anything to help. That was at 4 am this morning and as it happened on my bedroom floor I couldn't stay in my room and didn't manage to get back to sleep. I took him to the vets this morning and am waiting to hear from them so I can go and collect his ashes to scatter in my garden.

Again, sorry to bring everyone down but I just needed to get it all out and I know there are a few cat lovers on here who will understand.

  • Here's one to set the cat among the pigeons! Today's Guardian has an article on Gillian McKeith, and after some investigation from the Advertising Standards Authority, she's agreed to no longer use the title Doctor, as it may be misleading. Read the full article, *A Menace to Science*, here.

Evening all - and massive hugs to those who need them.

took 10yodd to the hospital for her preaessment for ear surgery. I was really proud of her actually cos at the end she said loud and clear "I have some questions about the procedure" - she has moderate hearing loss and is a little withdrawn and unconfident even though she is very bright. She had her questions written down and took notes so she's feeling much happier about the surgery now. She will need a quiet week off school which i am going to try to stretch to two depending on what w**k say tomorrow.

Nothing much apart from that except that i managed to catch up with moggins' list for once:j :j :j
I'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 2008
