    Hi everyone!
Will back track and read the thread shortly but hugs to all those who need them.
All is well here today after the excitement of the weekend [ooh I did enjoy myself!!]. Yesterday there was even less OS going on as we had lunch with friends...she's a fab cook and always tries out new recipes on us as she knows we'll eat most things. This time it was a chocolate bombe filled with HM coffee icecream and it was to die for. Felt in the name of good manners it would have been churlish to have refused seconds!!
Today it's back to reality with an almighty great thud as need to tackle the ironing pile that I have been avoiding all weekend. That joy awaits me this evening but will hopefully also find time for some reading or cross stitch. Tonight OH is making the Jocasta Innes recipe for Alsation tart...the small person looked rather shocked when I told him this evening and asked rather timidly if we were having a dog in it:rotfl: I have reassured him that Daddy hasn't kidnapped a much loved family pet for our supper. That would be taking the money saving lark a tad too far methinks!!
    Anyway enough of my drivel!
    Have a great day folks

 Think we should all be careful with the luck not being with us today. I saw I had a new PM, opened it up, no new messages, looked at the last one received, opened it it was two days old and read, so deleted that one, and my post count went down by 2:confused:

    Hi Everyone
This is the first time I have been able to read a full daily thread for over a week. I have been so floored with what I thought was a virus. Struggled into work on Friday but home again by lunchtime and back in bed until today. Have been at doctor this morning and it appears I have a severe chest infection and am now on high dose antibiotics! DH has been marvellous but is leaving early tomorrow for 3 weeks abroad so is a bit worried about leaving me. My main problem has been total lack of appetite and I have lost about half a stone which I really can't afford. Doctor recommends I buy loads of chocolate and nibble on that until appetite returns!

DD has had her 19 week scan and all seems to be going very well. We know what it is!!!! She, bless her, has said I should go to stay with them in a day or two until I am on my feet. What chance is that with two active DGSs!!

So sorry to hear about everyone's troubles today. So many of you seem to be in the doldrums. I really hope things get better soon.

Hope now to keep an eye on what is going on and I will need to catch up with the pictures from last weekend. I am sure you all had a fabulous time.

    Love and thoughts to all.

Hugs to all of you feeling down

BargainRzl - I know what you mean about feeling guilty about feeling down for no apparent reason. especially when you know people who have jolly good reasons to feel down. sometimes though you just need to give in to a good wallow. I sometimes find I have to say - "OK me, for tomorrow you can feel miserable, then that's it, find something to do and get overyourself."

DH has just phoned to say that the oil has all leaked out of the car so I have to go and get him from work. We just had the sump fixed last week as part of the service, methinks they didn't do it right. I hope they don't charge. DOes mean I'll probably be stuck without car tomorrow. So that's my plans for the week shot down in flames.

    DSs first parents' evening tonight.

Better go and dig DD out of bed so she can come round before I have to take her to get DS from school.

Then we're making blueberry muffins. The muesli bars I made yesterday seem to be a hit - yay. I'm telling myself they're healthy and concentrating on teh fact there are seeds/oats/fruit in them, and trying not to concentrate on the butter/sugar/honey aspect.

    take care people
