They'll get the message, just keep at them.0 -
I have used EGG MONEYMANAGER for over a year.
GOOD: it calculates your net wordly wealth on one screen ie bank plus savings minus card debts. Useful for getting cash together before major expenses.
BAD: it logs in to every account every time. Can be very slow.
BAD: If one bank changes your security data then MONEYMANAGER will attempt to log in with out-of-date details. You may only be looking at another account and not notice that one balance is not displayed.
My bank (Nationwide) cancels the access number if there are three failures. It gives no warning it has done this.
You have to discover this and re-register before a new number is issued. Meanwhile you cannot use online banking for up to two weeks !!!!SilverSurfer0 -
I chased Egg via secure messaging and got told the £15 would be credited to my account by 5th August.
My interpretation was that you had to be a completely new user of Money Manager to get the bonus, not just add a new account.0 -
There's £15 in it for you
Even better, register with Egg Money Manager and add a non-Egg account before 1 August 2005 and we'll give you £15 - just like that.*0 -
Egg refussed to pay my £10 incentive the other month, I threatened to close my account and they just said fine. Eventually they caved in and paid up.
I just quoted the small print in the offer, and they knew they were in the wrong.0 -
I was getting a bit annoyed the other day when my £15 still hadn't been credited to my account (hadn't actually seen/read properly that it would be by 5th August) so I sent an e-mail to that effect.
I got a very polite reply, pointing out that it would be credited by 5th August (ooops), but lo and behold 24hrs later my account had just doubled in value! (ok, I recieved the £15!)

Just a reminder that tomorrow is the last day to register for Egg Money Manager!
It's a fantastic tool. I initially registered just to get the £15, but it makes life so much easier for me, I have now added a total of 8 financial institutions.
It does take a while for it to log into all your accounts the first time you access with a new a instance of your browser, but then it loads much quicker for the rest of you session until you close your browser and open another, apparently because it takes some of the content from a cache file stored locally on your hard drive, which is a good thing.
The best part is when you want to login to a specific account to perform additional operations. Just click on that account and a secure Java browser pops up and logs you straight in -- about ten times faster than it takes me to login manually!
The only fault is when you're accessing an institution through the popup browser for some time, the Egg Website does not detect this activity and Money Manager logs you out 'due to inactivity'. When this happens, Egg also close the popup browser -- a little annoying, especially when it happens while you're making a transaction.
Regarding previous comments, if you don't want it to log into some institutions, you can edit those and remove the tick from the "Show" box.
Again, last day tomorrow (unless Egg extend the offer).0 -

Just thought I'd let you know - I signed up for the Egg Money Manager in October and have just had £10 credited to my nominated account.
No problems or hassles and I'm £10 better off for not really much effort.0 -
I've just seen this in Martin's money saving tips. Apparently extended to 30/04/06. I got my egg card in Feb. have just checked the website and can see an option to download information about other bank accounts. No mention of an £10. Is it worth the download? Am I too late?0
