Grrrr Problems with OH over DMP

Hi Sea
I have mixed feelings about your news, on one hand i think it was inevitable and i think long run you will be happy and in control but on the other I am sad for you.
I think you should do what is right for YOU. I'm sure in divorce the fact all the debt is in your name won't make a difference as it will be viewed as joint debt. When you are feeling up to it contact your local CAB for a free initial apt with a solicitor it might help to know your rights.
I'm glad your Mum is with you and sending you good thoughts.0 -
Hi.
Replied on another thread. Reading very quickly this thread I have heard so much about your OH that i am like. It has made me realise to get off my butt, interact with my family and enjoy what i have. Small consilation but you may have just saved my relationship
Thank you very much

Oh Sea,
What can I say? I really feel for you just now. I guess you are trying to worry about so many things at once. I'm glad your mum is with you. Please please please make sure you look after yourself for your childrens' sake. Your OH problems, debt etc will wait, but your health needs to be looked at first (I have experience of this).
Let's take it step by step. Try not to deal with it all at once. Set yourself some small targets. Perhaps the first one to see the doctor. Next one CAB. Next one, contacting CCCS/Payplan to advise them of what happening just in case you need to adjust your payment at some point.
Talk, talk, talk - to everyone, it's the best way to heal in my humble opinion. You know we are all here and anonymous support is fanastic. However, you need face to face support too for proper squashy hugs. You're family will be your rock. What about your friends?
I'm going to stop writing now as I don't want to come across as patronising, it's all concern for you.
Please keep in touch to let us know you are okay (well, as best as you can be).
Sending you my love,

Well, how wrong can I be. It's over and I think I must be in shock as I seem to be alternating between just sitting, crying and being in denial! One minute he says we should try again for the kids sake, the next we need to be looking at our options. What options? I'm screwed. All debt in my name. p-t wage. etc.
You are married, which means there will be a split of both the assets and the liabilities. If you have more liabilities than him, you will usually end up with more assets to cover them. P-t wage, well that's what maintenance etc is for.
Although you should go through with the process looking out for your interests (as well as that of your children) do not close the door to a reconcilliation. He may be unsure of what he does want, or may have unrealistic ideas of what he is going to end up with.

Thanks - I've been to the doctors - crying downt he phone managed to get me an emergency appointment and I have got some medication - in liquid form which is good as I can start at a really low dose. Feel a bit of a failure but anything is better than how I feel right now.
