Good Morning. Thanks for the new thread LC. :)

Well, I have £11 in my purse so that's what my budget this week will have to be.
I have absolutely nothing planned though apart from work, work and more work so it should be do-able. It has to be do-able as we got paid early in January and have nearly 5 weeks to the next payday  so I'll have to be super frugal this month :(
Don't ya just hate 5 week months????

Hoping today will be a NSD to start me off :)

    Have a great Sunday x x

    Hi all

I'd like to aim for £35 this week. Feeling much better and thank you for you thoughts - still not totally back on food which is saving the pennies.

Today I spent £2.50 on papers & pancakes. I hope my only other spends will be on Thurs when I take my n&ns swimming and Friday which is our usual takeaway night. I have £45.73 in my purse which I'm trying to make last to payday which is in 12 days.:o
  • Please can I join in? I love to read this thread but think I need to try and join in :D

I have £40 in my purse, so that needs to be my budget.

Although I was thinking about trying the "2nd purse" thingy and seeing if it would work for me, so maybe it should be £30 budget and £10 for the 2nd purse??? :o

Oops - have I failed before I have even started???? :rotfl::o:rotfl:

I've wanted to do this the last two weeks - I've been really good with my cash and would have come in well under the past two weeks. However just been really busy and haven't had time to post.

However, am back this week. Please put me down for £10. Will do some kind of exercise this week, coffee tomorrow lunchtime with a friend and then a drink on Friday or Thursday also at lunchtime.

    Good luck everyone.

    Hi all,

First post updated. Happy Sunday! Another lovely winter's day :D

I'm definitely not going out today except to Tesco for storecupboard bits - coffee, tuna (half price atm), milk, tins of beans etc. Was going to be a bit tight this month anyway, but just realised that we'll be going out for my dad's birthday meal either 1 or 2 days before pay day (which is Tue 31st), which I had completely managed to not budget for. Very frustrating, as I've done pretty well in general this month apart from that oversight! Hey ho. Just got to try and save as much as I can elsewhere to counter for it.

Welcome to the challenge Squinky McFeet, jesski, and fozziebeartoo, I hope it helps you guys with the incidentals! I hate 5 week months too freebyfifty, can't think of anyone who wouldn't ... you're very disciplined though so I'm sure you'll be A-OK! :T Well done on your purple week Bailey's Babe, that's fantastic! And finally, glad to hear you're feeling a little better Munchin, fingers crossed you keep going that way! Don't forget to try and drink loads of water as you'll probably be fairly dehydrated :(

Have a fabby Sunday all, I'm sticking to my plan of no spend for today except for my Tesco trip... :D

    LC

Edit: It's busy on here today, I can't update fast enough to keep up with you lot!!! :rotfl:

Nice to see you again EC12345 and welcome atlonglast, I don't budget my groceries, petrol etc either - as the first post says, the main aim here is to keep track of incidental spending, it's a REAL eye opener!

Pledging £50, I have my eye on a bag with toiletries that I might buy - if not, I shouldn't spend that much

  • I am new and this week I pledge to spend £10 - this will be spent entirely on lunch at work, and anything left over I will have as treats on the weekend... or pot it for my Sealed Pot Challange :-)

  • Today I spent about £9 whilst at work (Sainsburys) some stuff for dinner etc.

Hoping Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday will be NSD's.

Thursday I have to travel from Kent to Essex for an interview at a law firm for some work experience, so I'll spend about £12 in travelling (hence the £40 this week!). I am hoping to put my Macbook and my old Laptop on eBay on Friday.

Friday I have work in the evening, most probably an NSD.

Saturday I have work 12 - 8. Will spend some money on lunch, no more than £4 though!

I hope I can do this!
