Oooohhh, I just had a lovely tea - true MSE style too. I had boiled potatoes with carrots, sweetcorn and peas and a salmon and leek fishcake. I bought these from Aldi - there is 2 in the packet (one for me, one for OH) and they are cheap as chips. Just worked out the points and they are only 3 points (WW) too so another day of sticking to my points - 2 on the trot, I am doing well!Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 607 - Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts :T

Welcome SkySky and Sea78, This thread is great for keeping you motivated - certainly helps keep me motivated and even when I've gone off track I haven't given up. I joined this thread at the same time as I started to get my finances in order and it has been good focusing on the two together - oh and I joined the flylady thread too so my house is now clean and tidy (most of the time anyway!) as well. Total overhaul!
Victory I am very impressed! I agree with everything you say about how good this can all make you feel. Although I have been struggling to lose in recent weeks, I have lost a stone since Christmas and a couple of years ago lost 4 stone (2 of which went back on last year). I feel great now but have been a stone lighter and know that at that weight I feel fab so am determined to get back there.
I am back into most of my clothes again but a few bits need toning up again if you know what I mean!
Had a good day (seemed a good move to ask to be put on hold until after my hols!) - porridge and blueberries for breakfast, apple and few almonds for snack, HM pasta salad for lunch, 2 plums, oatcake mid afternoon and then beans on toast just now when I got in from the gym. Was hard to go back out in the cold but was glad I made the effort and burned off 700 calories.
Wondering if I should try the Suggs way with Dairylea dunkers and yoghurt for supper!! By the way Suggs, tried doing 4 on the treadmill tonight and it's just about stationary so must be different settings.
I stayed a bit longer than I intended at the gym this evening as I was watching Eastenders and wanted to watch the end! Burned a few more calories off in the process.
Tomorrow evening will be harder - my parents are down and taking me and DD out to dinner. Feel that if someone is paying should have what I fancy rather than what is good for me. Trying to remind myself that it is worth having something a bit healthier when I will be on a beach in less than two weeks time.Proud to be dealing with my debts0 -
Well done VictoryIm full of admiration.
Not sure what you meant about 'down the other side'?

My juicer arrived this morning so I am going to be juicing myself slim!! (I hope)
My problem is that my son is a complete handfull (special needs) and I just don't get time to make decent food during the day without all hell breaking loose so as a compromise I decided to get a juicer so I am not tempted to eat rubbish! Bought it with my birthday money and got myself a juicing book too.
I have tried weight watchers and slimming world. I didn't get on that well with ww but sw is brilliant but I just have not got enough hours in the day to prepare the food so I figured juicing was the next best option!
Along with all the other healthy food I've been eating and all the exercise I've been doing it should just drop off!!!!:rotfl:
I'm also going for the positive thinking thing!;)19/03/2007 Start weight 15st 7lbs

Hi All,
Quick post - gained 1lb this week. Grrrr! I knew it had been a bad one anyway, as not only was it TOTM last week and I needed chocolate, but I've just been diagnosed with neuralgia, which explains why I feel like I've got toothache, migraine and earache all at once! Very unpleasant, very depressing, makes eating anything crunchy or chewy difficult, and wakes me up in the middle of the night, so I'm not the happiest of bunnies at the mo.
Now I'm on medication which, to cover all bases, amongst other contraindications says I might gain or lose weight! Marvellous. Actually, all I've noticed is that it's spaced me out somewhat, and I'm not sure I should be driving to be honest! Hey ho, here's to trying to eat anything squishy and non-fattening this week, and ignoring anything with chocolate, even if it does melt in your mouth.
Well done to everyone who's had a good week. Hope to join you all again next week - the gym sessions have been harder going as I feel under the weather, but I did manage to increase my jogging to 10 minutes on Monday (which equated to 1.3km my OH worked out), at a slightly faster speed. I'm aiming to get up to a 30 minute jog eventually.
OK, the face ache is returning, so I'm off for painkillers and bed. Cheerio All. S xxOne day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Does anyone know where I can find an explanation on how slimming world works. I see a lot more people on here do SW rather than WW and I would like to compare to see if I could do SW easier?Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 607 - Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts :T

I only did the dunkers and ww yoghurt as I missed supper, trouble is I done the same today  Was up early to get to the office, then straight to the Gym, 30min cross trainer and 20min bike (963cals) then to my parents, home to Mrs Suggs asleep and dinner in the fridge

I'm only up at this time of night because I woke myself up coughing so I thought I'd get up for a bit to give the cough medicine time to work. How come when I only needed to lose 1.5 lbs this week to get my stone I've been having cough medicine (1.5 syns a time) and Halls Soothers (1.5 syns for 2)!
I don't weigh in until tonight so I'll see how much damage having a cough has done!
Well done on all the weight losses - this board isgreat for motivation.
Welcome to the newbies.
Catch you all later when I've weighed in.
