Victory you will be thanking your H, think how a person who has given up smoking never can stop at just one, they always start up again (and think how nice it will be when you and H make up - extra calories burnt ;) )

I know you are right and so is H.... that is part of my problem I don't trust myself so have not been anywhere that could cause me to look lovingly at food and want to eat it:D

I am going with my boys class to the London eye for their school day out on wednesday and I am already panicking as to what will I eat because I will be out for lunch:D I know I am going to take a tupperware full of fresh salad with tuna but will be surrounded by kids that are eating what I want to eat:rotfl: :rotfl:

H and I have already made up....life is too short and all that and there is now the weigh in tomorrow to look forward to knowing I was not allowed to cheat!!!

I haven`t read all the thread, way too many pages in just one sitting,But do you lot do the calorie counting or go by the fat intake?

If you calorie count then how much do you do less than the average 2000 cals a day?

Can you add up all your daily calories in one week and use it as a weekly calorie diet or would it have to be daily?
Some days I might only have 700 calories but make up for it the next day.

I am trying to eat healthy and cut out the !!!!!!, I am aiming for low fat and low calorie.

I think you need to be careful if you have 700 calories in one day even if you do average it out during the week. Your body can go into stavation mode if you're not getting enough calories and you end up storing fat from food when you do eat incase you do not eat many calories again

Hi,
Thank you all for welcomes and kind words. Well as I am starting today I do not have a weight loss to record but reading through the posts on here I am overwhelmed by how friendly you all are and how you support each other.
I have done well so far today and haven't strayed.
I will be on here several times a day although I will not always post.
I will make sure that I let you all know my results next Monday at my first weigh in.
I will also try to stop thinking about the amount I have to lose and instead go for mini targets each time.
Thanks again.

mamaden mini targets always work best....I know it is all in the mind but to keep thinking you have x stones to lose is impossible for me to deal with so I like a lot of people on here bite size so it is achievable, even if you went to WW or SW they do the same...or aim for 10% loss they say so that way it is obtainable:D

I have 20 weeks exactly until my hols and 10 weeks of it will be weight loss (according to the internet the torture ends on May 31st!!) anyway two different conversations today with people....one fab, great, look at you, you're looking good etc .....the other.....Oh you are going on hol etc oh well you will come back fat so what is the point of you going to all this trouble now? Must have given away some facial expression because after that there was a lot of retraction and oh no what I meant was.....but it was said then and the people also around were equally flabbergasted:D

hazzie I am not sure any dietitian would tell you to eat only 700 calories a day but make up for it the next day.....not sure it works that way.....surely your body would go into starvation mode and when you went back to eating normally it would be so grateful the fat would get stored again?

I am sure consultant would know...

It takes forever:mad:
