Dispel those negative thoughts immediately :naughty: you didn't gain, it's happened and there is nothing you can do to alter this latest result, but you can affect next weeks. As well as the water and excercise try reviewing your diet, I found that that helped me when my loss slowed down.

Thankyou petrichor you are right, I am now thinking positively. :p I have reviewed my diet and found a few changes I can make and I will lose weight next week :D. Well done dawnydee and Frugal Fox. :j :j

Aww Consultant, dont I warrant a "well done" anymore

As they say on the telly, every little helps! ;)

Ooh sorry Suggs, I must have missed you - how could I???

I shall go out immediately and find sackcloth and ashes to wear :rotfl:

I do apologise, you know I wouldn't upset you for the world ;)

On the problem with maths - imagine what it's like in group when it's busy and you're frantically trying to get the tights off in order to count on the toes :rotfl:

Hazzie, red and green days are the plans from Slimming World. Red day free foods are based around meat and fish and green day free foods are based around potatoes, pulses, pasta, rice etc (carbs basically). You can eat as much free food as you like without weighing or measuring. If you have a big appetite, it's brilliant and the weight losses (provided you follow the plan) are excellent.
The best thing I can suggest is that you buy a SW magazine and have a go at the 7 day menu plans they give.

Jojil a Kentucky bucket  and then blaming the kids   :rotfl:
Here are the syn listings as far as I can tell you (and it's not happy reading):-

    Chicken drumsticks, each - 5½ red/9½ green
    Popcorn chicken per serving - 1 regular - 10½ red/16½ green
    BBQ beans - 1 regular - 4½ red/ free green
    Coleslaw - 1 regular - 5½ red and green
Corn cob with butter each - 9 red/2½ green
    Fries - 1 regular - 14½ red/10 green
Gravy - 1 regular 3 red and green
Dip, mayo - per serving - 10 red and green
Dip, tom ketchup - per serving - 1½ red and green

Hope that helps! DAY ONE tomorrow???

A quick note for Petrichor - it's such a joy seeing how you've turned yourself around these last weeks and gone from feeling defeated to being the one dishing out the good advice to others - well done :j

oh help! ive been really awful this week i just want to eat everything in sight! im not normal, its as if ive turned into the cookier monster! I have fallen off the wagon big time, i am off to aqua aerobics and think its going to be a waste of time going but i feel like a little barrel on legs, im weighing in tom and just know its going to break!! hi all anyway hope all well and that you are all being good not like me!!!

Don't worry - I'm in the same boat! If you read my earlier post you will have noticed I have decided to hold for a few weeks but still come on here as I know it will help my motivation. Hopefully my monster has disappeared for a couple of weeks!

Well done everyone and your losses - Suggs as always an inspirational loss (and that's when you thought you hadn't had a good week - I wish my not so good weeks were as good!

I got up this morning determined to have a better day, and even though DD was still awake sewing (!!!) at 1.30am - art portfolio for art AS due in today so major panic stations and I was trying to get to sleep, I got up at 6 and was in the gym by 6.30. Going before work means I don't have much time, but I did 40 minutes on the treadmill (5 min warm up, 30 mins at 0.5 incline and 9 speed, 5 min cool down) - 470 calories! What a good start to the day - worth the early start as it helped my motivation all day. Was not then going to undo the good of the workout and eaten healthily all day so feeling good this evening.

Reading about all your posts has really helped as always, and want to reply to some of them but not long been home and really want to whizz round the kitchen and a few other chores so bye for now.
Proud to be dealing with my debts

  • :hello: Hi everyone, I've noticed quite a few of you on here are following Slimming World on your own without the help of a class.

If anyone's interested, I've started my own website https://www.freewebs.com/monkeypieface which I am slowly filling up with loads of recipes that I have converted from normal full-fat recipes into low-Syn Slimming World friendly recipes, many of which are quite economical (& a lot cheaper than the healthy ranges of ready meals in supermarkets!!). I also keep a log of my daily food diary on my site if anyone's stuck for ideas of what to eat.

I've mentioned my website on a few slimming forums just lately & it's had some really good feedback (check out some of the comments on my Guestbook on there - people seem to be finding it really useful).

Anyway, feel free to have a look & see what you think, hope some of you will find it useful :)

    Monkeypie x

Well done on all the weight losses - Suggs - is there no end to yours! How do you keep doing it! Well done :T

All I am doing, and it is no secret is going to the gym, ok some days I have to grit my teeth and go, but I keep going. In the last 14 days I have only had one day off from either the gym, rugby or swimming. Like many of you I am determined, probably more so since I wrote my story :) I guess that I am lucky to be working in a job that allows me to work from home some days and so I have the time to get to the gym straight after work.

I know I had a couple of bad days last week, but on those bad days I had been in the gym, and as someone just reminded me, as I was working from home, I tend not to eat breakfast and lunch but more a brunch

Great result thriftykatie :j 40 mins is what I aim for, though I do it over two pieces of equipment :) If I used 9 for the speed on my treadmill though I would be sprinting  though not for very long. 470 is a great number well done :j
