  • thank you so much for all your thoughtful replies. This thread is really great - how many of us could go a weigh-in and really tell the truth of how we have been doing? I feel really pleased that we can all tell it how it is and still be there to support each other. Thanks each and every one of you.

(ps I'm still not having a good time with comfort eating - but will get myself sorted with all your help! - you have been very motivational)

oops, a day ahead of myself. Maybe thats not a bad thing since I am heading out tonight and copious amounts of plonk are on the menu :o Its St Patricks day tomorrow and us Irish are renowned for drinking, it'd be a shame to let the side down :rotfl:

Frugal if you get chocolates from your little one, eat and enjoy on Sunday then count Monday as your Day 1 (how old is he/she?)

We adopted two siblings. Our daughter is now 8 and our son is 7...

Should they buy me chocolate - I'm sure they will help me eat it!!

    Hi beanie lou

Unless you need a lid one why don't you wash your yoghurt or fromage frais containers out and use them.

All the best Suggs with your new arrangements - hope everything goes well. Don't forget it's Mother's Day tomorrow so you'll have to pamper Mrs Suggs.:happyhear

Welcome to the newbies - I don't post as often as I should but I get an email with the day's messages on each morning so I always read through what everyone's been up to!

    Have a great weekend everyone

not having a good week. Choc is being my downfall and it is totm but that is no excuse. I hang my head in shame and will try harder tomorrow.

Well done to those who can do this full stop. I wish I had more willpower!

    Hi bargain babe

I know what you mean about choc and totm. I always crave choc for the first 2 or 3 days. I try to keep busy or sometimes I'll have a curly wurly or Freddo just to take the edge off which aren't too many syns (I do SW). However if the chocs there I'll just eat it all!:o

So my willpower is about as good as yours but remember it's only for a few days a month.

Unfortunately my TOTM is all over the place at the moment and it is only later that I realise that what happened to my willpower. My birthday on Thursay was a reminder that the hormones are going big time and it all goes downhill from here on in - including certain parts of the anatomy

Anyway, only 2 weeks to go til my trip to Oz. Haven't done as well as I'd hoped but have lost a stone since Christmas and kept it off. The last week has seen no trips to the gym so now it's 14 days of hard work all round as a final spurt before I hit that beach! A stone off my preferred weight but I don't think I will scare any of the locals when I strip off!

Day one today and I am having a fruit and veg detox after all the eating and drinking of several days of pre-birthday, birthday and post birthday celebrations (yes, any excuse :o )

Does anyone else find they over indulge and then feel complete yuk? Not just mentally but physically. My body really doesn't like all those carbs, alcohol etc yet I still do it. I feel really sluggish this morning.

Hope today goes well Suggs and that Mrs Suggs appreciates the new bookcases and your efforts for her (their) arrival.

Have a good day all, and from my point of view, a new start (again) to being healthy.
Proud to be dealing with my debts
  • good luck today Suggs, hope you enjoy your first evening in your love nest!

We are going to a chinese tonight for my mums engagement, gosh if I didnt have such a good social life (nearly as busy as my kids at the moment!) I might be able to eat really healthily (sp!) - but I shall enjoy my meal - again! and really sort myself out soon.

I expect a gain this week - I haven't even ventured onto the scales.

Happy St. Patricks day to those celebrating and enjoy a drink or two - tomorrow can always be day 1 - again!

    take care all bbxx
