thanks lois, it's cool to see my name on the list! even though i'm a newbie/maintainer as i recorded my current weight today, and next week will be my first official weigh in.
Did a bad thing tonight and managed to convince OH to buy me ben and jerrys and i ate half the tub!! Definately need him to help keep me on track, can't stop eating badly if he wont stop fuelling it!! (he made me cheese on toast last night and i cried!! Lol, i'm blaming that one on the stress of being up late working!) He means well though. :o

Well done to all the losers and those who made it to some milestones!
Keep going strong everyone else, i'm sure i'll stay off the junk food so long as i have you all behind me!

Going swimming tommorrow (and then to pizza hut buffet  but have vowed just to order something small as i am skint anyway and an all you can eat pizza buffet just will not end well!!)

Hope everyone had a good weekend, and a good start to the week.

    Hi Lois

I've got 2 weeks of WI missing (probably because my WI's on a Wednesday) but I lost 3.5 which is on, then 3, then maintained, then lost 2 last week so 8.5 in total. Would you mind updating for me?

On a different note, I think I need to join the Day One club, I've spent 4 days eating rubbish so I need to get back on track.

Oops, gained 1.5lbs this week, I can account for every ounce so thoroughly deserved it. Never mind, am putting my mind to getting it off, have meal planned for the week (well until Thursday/Friday - any longer and I will forget what I planned lol). I won the raffle last night at SW and won a pedometer so am going to try and get out walking this week too.

Well done to all the losers/maintainers/gainers - EVERYONE!! - keep up the good work :T:T

Me too honey ('scuse the grammer) I think that even [STRIKE]if [/STRIKE] when I get to my target I'll continue here. Though I've only been here for 6 weeks I feel that there is great friendship and support. You'll soon lose that 1.5lb, ditto MissMP.

Midget-Karen I was sorry to read about your bike being stolen, it doesn't matter how old it is it's just not right that some people can do these things, I'm feeling quite annoyed about it on your behalf. I can also understand about you not wanting to use someone elses either as you don't know where the saddles been do you, it's the one thing that's putting me off buying a 2nd hand excercise bike.

Thanks Lois for the chart again, it must take you ages but we are all very grateful.

Going to have another go now on the mini-stepper and see if I can do more than 5mins.

I wish that I could be the oldest AND wisest....sadly it's not the latter :p but my time will come _party_ wooooh hoooh! Beware!!!!!!!
  • HI lois.

    lost 1.5 lbs this week.

I have to really try this week so I don't gain like I usually do. I seem to lose weight for 2 wks then put on. however going to visit family in yorkshire on thurday for a long weekend. so I have to be extra careful. I want to lose at least a 1lb so I get my 1/2 stone award next week.
    HOW MUCH ?
  • Hiya folks,

Sorry I've not posted for the last week or so but it's good to catch up and see how everyone is doing so a big hello from me in Dundee.

Midget-Karen - sorry to hear about the bike, is there any cctv camera's in the near vacinity which might have picked up the thief? Even ones on near by banks or shops which might help the police catch the perpetrator?

thriftykatie, I can sympathise with you big style. I have three of the darling teenagers in the house but all of the male variety and although I lost 1lb the week of the Sat 10th (never posted it as I was so upset. It was my birthday on the 10th and my kids never even got me a card and I ended up in tears most of the day feeling really anti social for the rest of the week and a bad mother as you do! Oh the trials and tribulations of being not just a single parent but a parent in general).

I'm sure all parents reading this can sympathise with the "words" we have with our kids, often thinking back to the "words" our parents had with us and trying hard not to "smile" again or even "panic" that we are turning into our parents!!!

Last week 17th I lost 3lbs, taking me to 2lbs of my 3st loss and almost half way to my goal weight. When I started this back in September I couldn't imagine losing my first stone let alone three! Here's to the next 3 - 3.5st off by this time next year. Any sooner will be a bonus.

Oh and I'm starting to find some other clothes in my wardrobe which fit too - so folks do try stuff on at regular intervals, this in itself gives you a bit of a boost even when it doesn't quite fit, but say you can almost get the button / zip fastened when before it didn't even come close to meeting.

Bad thing is although my weight loss was 3lbs last week I muched at half a tin of danish cookies last night, and had a rather large, ok make it half a home made banana loaf. I felt sick and annoyed. Woopsie, guess who is playing catch up.

I have been to the gym twice this week, but I still feel I'm going to gain on Saturday if i don't make up this week. I'll give it a darn good try. A moment of madness with the junk. Still I never ate the whole 1kg bar of dairy milk I got for my xmas on my birthday when I was upset, so progress there, although I have no idea what I have done with it now!

Good luck to everyone, my thoughts are with you and you are all an inspiration to me, in ways which you probably will never realise. Thank you for this.

    Hi Lois
I lost 2lb last week, which isn't on. I think it's cos my weigh in is on a thursday. Would it be better if I just posted my loss on a monday?

Had 2 cookies this morning thinking they wouldn't be too bad:mad: 3 syns each and they were tiny!!

Was gonna do a lasagne tonight but not sure now . Does anyone know recipe for a low syn one?? It has to be "real meat" tho cos hubbie won't eat "that pretend cra..."

Not good week cos it's half term for my DS's. They keep wanting to bake etc which is great but I HAVE to taste test each new thing:D

Well done to all losers, maintainers. Keep goin those who put on, I think I may be in that club this week.

    Midget Karen

So sorry to hear about your bike. Won't it come under your shed or garage insurance?

    Jo

I have simalar problem with Meat eating man friend wont entertain Quorn but I must admit it is not the same. Have you tried shepherds pie using swede as a topping? It is a bit on the sweet side but lovely if you sin and use gravy granuels in the meat sauce. Also chicken breast with crushed garlic and herbs stuffed into it and wrapped in bacon.....Yum yum.

Good luck and take care BBx:D

Three boys - OMG and I thought I had problems! Think they are much harder work than girls! Well DD is back home now having stayed at a friend's last night after the party that caused the words. Still a bit frosty and she can't see that she's in the wrong and usually she is very good at backing down and apologising after the event. I'm lucky as she is usually so lovely and considerate but there have been a few incidents in the last couple of weeks and I'm just hoping she's not having a personality change - I want the old DD back! Was hoping to get back on track food wise today but didn't sleep well as I was so upset over the whole thing and now am grumpy and turning to food.

Got a date this evening so decided will eat and drink today and day one tomorrow (as long as tonight isn't a disaster and put me deeper into depression - help!)

Well done on losing so much weight cheekyweegit. I lost over 3 stone a couple of years ago and around half went back on which I am fighting with now, but everyone on here is really helping.
Proud to be dealing with my debts
