  • Hello, I am new to this thread and have started my diet (again!) today, have loads to lose and a long way to go but now is the time. I am determined to do well and with your help and support am sure I can do it this time.

I am not paying to go to any club - I find I ended up cheating and starving myself before being weighed - which can't be good and I am not going to count calories or sins just eat heathily and cut out the junk.

Will let you know how I have done next week!

    BBxx

Hope everyone is well, haven't been concentrating on my weight the last couple of weeks, so was happy to see I was still the same this morning!

My other half has done me a plan he used to do whilst boxing - we went through it earlier and I'm aching all over. He's promised to kick me into shape!!

Lois - my target is still 7lbs - I want that half-stone!!!!

Well done to all losers/maintainers, chin uup for this week all gainers.

Good luck with the gym Nicola- the hardest part is joining. After that it gets easier...and once you get the hang of it it's a great feeling after you've done a work out. Makes you feel kinda smug!

Weeeeeell... actually it makes me feel kinda dismembered.

    But I love it. :D

  • Hi all.

Feeling a lot brighter tonight. Spoke to Mum earlier, who has decided that it's not as bad as she feared and is now taking it in her stride, which is a big load of my mind. Some of you may remember that she had a heart attack about a year ago and I think we all live in fear of any upset causing another.

Welcome to all the new members, wow, aren't we popular - wish I had all these new ones joining my group every week.

Petrichor I'm still giggling over your farting rowing machine - wonder what the neighbours think :rotfl: Your DD and you should be very proud of the efforts you're making and I'm sure you'll be surprised how fast your stamina builds - well done you!!

LoopyLou, it's much more fun playing with the kids than going to the gym and it's all exercise so stick with it, it seems to be working for you.

Keatergreyhound - well done, you're doing an excellent job!

Suggs I'm so glad you got the loss you deserved, but please don't get weighed midweek again, I'm not sure we can cope with the strain, lol.

Thrifty if I had a pound (£) for every time my daughters and I had 'words' I'd be a very rich woman. Now though, they are truly my best friends, I couldn't wish to be surrounded by nicer people. Cling on, your DD will change before your eyes over the next year or so and you'll feel like I do. I find it helped me to get through it by remembering how obnoxious I was at the same age and realising that your Mum will always love you and be prepared to forgive and forget when you've grown up a little. (Sorry, hope that doesn't sound preachy!!)

I hope all the newbies get the same feeling of 'belonging' that us older members get from being a member of this thread (well I certainly do). Looking forward to getting weighed tomorrow, since I've not been pestered by munchy moments this week - just watch me gain now :rotfl:

    See ya
I let my mind wander and it never came back!
  • 5lbs.......on:o I thought I was very lucky to have maintained last week. Looks like it has all caught up with me this week.

RENTING? Have you checked to see that your landlord has permission from their mortgage lender to rent the property? If not, you could be thrown out with very little notice.

    sam Lost 2lbs:j
    elwyn Lost 1lbs :j

  • Good news is - i lost weight! Only 1lb, but that's ok. Wasn't eating as carefully as usual but did plenty of sport. Upper arms still killing from a rugby match yesterday!

Bad news is - my bike was stolen from work today. It was locked, but not insured. So now I can't get to my sports unless I rely on lifts which I hate doing - it's inconvinient for me and the people that take me. It wasn't a posh expensive bike but it was mine and i liked it. I've been offered one that was left at work before but it's heavy and horrible. AND NOT MINE. So although i lost a lb, i'm really annoyed.
It's the second time my bike has been stolen in 6 months. At this rate it would be cheaper to run a car.

    Sorry for the rant.

    Evening all

Here's the new chart for the week - well done to everyone who lost or maintained this week, and well done to everyone else for sticking with it.

Double congratulations this week to Victory, who is Slimmer of the Week :T , AND has achieved her target for this month! :j

I'll do another sweep for weight losses and post an update on Wednesday.

    Have a good week. :D
