doesn't quite the affect I was after, the two seperate pics but the idea was the snarling dog was by the fridge guarding so you did not feel like going into it!!
We had a biscuit barrel come into work the other day that when you lifted the lid it said very loudly...step away from the biscuits.....put the lid down....step away...it was boomingly loud and hilarious!!
I saw a fridge magnet of a very large lady with hands on hips looking directly and saying....'what do you want this time?' I bought it and sent it to my sister...she thought it was hilarious as she keeps her booze in the fridge and is always going to it!!0 -

Did you buy the little slimming book recentlY?
How much was it?
Hi Beanielou - I won my copy in a SW class raffle, and I think they sell them in class too. I do find it very motivational - sometimes if I feel like giving it all up I have a read through it and it gets me back on track.

Hi all
I was thinking about the whole motivation vs willpower issue, and realised that it particularly struck a chord with me right now. I have amazing willpower, I can go without all kinds of treats - sweets, chocolate, cakes, biscuits, puddings... the list goes on - yet I'm struggling to lose weight.
I know that the answer is to do more exercise, and the leisure centre prospectus has been sitting on my coffee table for two weeks, but have I done anything about it yet? NO! So although the willpower is there, the motivation to do something that I know would help is sadly lacking.
I think I'll print out the picture of the sugarplump fairy and the boot and stick them in strategic places until I get the message.

As you were the first to show your head above the parapet I laid the blame fairly and squarely on your shoulders and proffered your sincere apologies to DD and H yesterday eveningShame on you for putting them through it all!!
Hi, I havent posted for a while mainly because I hadnt lost any weight which was really disappointing. Trying to stop` nibbling` which is my downfall- my worst time seems to be between 5.30 and 7.00 when I realised I virtually had another meal!( even if was low fat goodies!)
Back on track now but need to get below 10 stone 8 as I am only 5` 3" and it would be great.
jan, please don't think that just because you don't have a weight loss that you needn't post, but at least you're here now and that's what matters. I find that time of day the worst as well, because I'm waiting for H to come home and the smell of dinner cooking can be a real test on the willpower. I usually come on the internet and just do anything that isn't concerned with food, the time flies, and now that the lighter nights are coming things should get easier.
Oh! Lois to my rescue again, you are the fount of all knowledge :A , IpromisenottogethyperIpromisenottogethyper I shall be too busy to think about nibbling this afternoon.
The other day I was going to let all of you know how well I was getting on with my mini-stepper and that I was burning off over 100 cals at a time, but then Suggs showed up with details of his 700+ cals etc so I've decided not to as mine just paled in comparison. It's funny how you imagine what people on here look like, and your picture of him is uncannily like the one in my head, I just hadn't bargained on the red lipstick!!! Just shows how wrong we can be.:D (Look Lois three links!!)
OOOOOh I'm almost beside myself with excitement

victory i am v impressed. I challenge you to crate a post using only quotes from other people's posts. That should keep you busy whilst tea is cooking. Thanks for the advice on the pole dancing Edimew. I've found out that they do a free 'poledancing class without the pole' class so i may give that a try later this week. It's called 'wiggle and giggle' which i think will probbly rapidly become 'wobble and giggle'. Did anyone watch 'fear stress and anger' on bbc2 last night? I'm not big on modern sitcoms but i find this one really funny. I loved the bit where the kids were trying to put the parents to bed after they'd got ratted and damaged themselves dancing to status quo.
just remembered the boot! The boot scared me so much i got SOTW on it's last appearance. Maybe it will work it's magic again. I promise to weigh in on monday lois!0 -

My boss told me he wanted a word with me this afternoon.Oh dear I thought. So instead of going to the gym I worked through lunch.
As it happens it was nothing and I'm going to go now. Should be nice and quiet at this time of the day. Lucky for me I've got the kind of job where you come and go as you please. As long as the job gets done.
Whenever I think to myself i can't go to the gym because it's too late in the day or I'm too busy. I read this thread and it inspires me to get my bum into gear0 -
LOL @ fount of all knowledge...! Complete anorak more like!
I wish I knew how to get an animated avatar - I would definitely have the sugarplump fairy if I could.
Does anyone know how to do it?
