Hi all
Stilernin - step away from the scales!
We all know how tempting it is to keep weighing yourself to see how you're doing, but as weight fluctuates from day to day, it's much better to weigh yourself no more than once a week. I had scales like that, and they should tell you the same weight whether you press the memory button or not, although mine could be erratic on occasions, which doesn't help when you're sticking to your healthy eating regime like glue and want to know if it's working!
Well done Amaialondon - that's an excellent first week result. When I first started going to SW classes I'd already been following the plan for 6 weeks (and lost a stone) and it was TOTM, so when I weighed in the following week, I'd gained half a pound! The consultant had been telling the new people that we could expect to have a really good weight loss in our first week and I don't think she believed I'd been doing it properly!
Welcome back RetiredLady - hope you enjoyed your break. Good to hear that you're philosophical about a possible gain - as Connie says, Success isn't never falling - it's getting up again and again.
I see there are a few new avatars on display today - I tried uploading the sugarplump fairy without success and then didn't have the old picture (like Honey!) so ended up with a green eyed moggy, which is quite cute but not really relevant. I love the cherries GPUK, and your new one is very apt too Honey.
Have a good weekend everybody.

Lois, I wondered why you have changed avatar. I spent hours last night trying to find my old one on the net, then realised just how long I had sepnt and wised up :rotfl:
Well, I've done it. I've joined the gym and signed up for a 12 month membership  Hopefully the fact that I have joined and am paying a monthly fee will make me more determined to go regularly
It's a lovely day here today, I hope you are all enjoying the same sunshine.0 -

To enable you to see avatars:
Go to UserCP then Edit Options then scroll down to Thread Display options. Put a tick in the Show avatars box then scroll down to the bottom and click on Save Changes.
You should then be able to see everyones.
Lois, The Sugarplump fairy needs to be shrunk as it's too large, also you can re-save it by right-clicking on the image that you showed us a few pages back. I will try and sort out how to shrink it, but with my abilities it may take a few days if at all.

Hi
Glad to see that you've all calmed down since yesterday, my goodness what an unruly mobyou should all take a leaf out of my book, keep calm and think serene thoughts .
Lois, going back to your other post about getting the motivation thingy; I know how it can be, we lose our weight, vow never to put it back on, but do; and each time it get's harder to lose it. One of the things that's keeping me motivated is remembering back to last year, when the hot weather came and I looked awful in what little summer clothing I had that fitted; and that despite feeling that way, I continued to gain weight. I was the only person (or so I felt) wishing for the summer to end, and I'm determined to enjoy it this year as I bought clothes last year that have yet to be worn. I hope that you are feeling a little more positive today:)
amaialondon Well done on your 4lbs loss :T Keep it up
retiredlady I was wondering where you were; I think that you may well be pleasantly surprised next weigh in, perhaps with all the walking in the sea air, you burnt off any excess, but, if not, at least you're here:j
bargainbabe Be brave and take it on the chin:rotfl: none of my problems are my fault, it's so much easier to blame someone else. Re the avatars, I think you will find it easier if you go to the search link and enter 'avatars' where you'll find that this has been covered better than I can explain at the mo. Give it a go and come back if you have a problem, although it's still a bit of trial and error, I practiced using other peoples as they were already of the correct size, But whatever you do keep calm
Hope the rest of you are faring well

Thanks for getting me from this

Sorry, just playing, but yesterday the time flew sorting this stuff out, and by 6pm I'd only had 400cals. So I thought I'd give it another go to keep my mind off eating. I should be as thin as a rake at this rate

Watch out Bill Gates - Petrichor's about :rotfl:
Slimming World - eggs are free, right? I hope that counts cream eggs and mini eggs cos I've just eaten half a bag of mini eggs with my best friend who is convalescing after having had her appendix out. Would have been rude not to0 -
