Has any BG customer switched to Click2 via Quidco and received the £20 promised??ac's lovechild0
-
Just switched from Click to Click2 by calling up the House.Co.Uk Call centre.
It turned out to be a painless process, and even the operator commented that it was a management decision not to migrate people from Click to Click2 automatically. They're expecting a few complaints once word gets round!
Anyway, thats my Gas and Electric moved, thanks to MSE.0 -

Hi anthonymobee
I really don't agree with pre-payment meters and advise you to get off them as soon as possible. Ask Southern Electric if they can change them over to credit meters for free. If they want to charge you ask around the likes of British Gas or PowerGen and see if they will change them for free if you switch to them. If they agree make sure you ask for that in writing.
Once you are on Credit Meters you have the option of the online tariffs such as British Gas' Click Energy 2. All that is required is that you enter your meter readings over the internet every quarter and recieve your bills via your E-mail account. This will lead to more accurate bills and hopefully an easier time managing your gas and electricity accounts0 -
Most suppliers will change the meters free, however some may do a credit check or specify you have to keep them for a certain number of months before changing them.0

The last I heard was PowerGen will switch your meters for free once you have been with them a month. It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0

Just had a letter from BG today telling me my click energy prices are being (have been) reduced by 11.3% (Gas and electric) from 12th March 2007.
As I havent switched from Click Energy (1) I am unsure if this is an automatic switch to Click Energy 2 or a price reduction staying on Click Enery (1).
Confused, but happy!!!0 -
Automatic transfer seems the commonsense thing for BG to do.
There are many consumers, for one reason and another, away from home for longish periods and not around for the 12 March 07 rate changes.
Can you imagine the bad publicity for BG had they tried to surreptitiously keep folks on the old tariff.0 -
I agree Erikin however, the letter says nothing about being moved to click energy 2, just says click energy prices have been reduced.
Did a Uswitch search and click energy (1) aint even showing now as a BG option so couldn't compare new, reduced, click energy (1) with click 2 prices. Also can't find click (1) tariffs on BG website!
Would seen sensible to have just one click tariff, not just because of publicity, but also BG costs - just wish they would be clear about what tariff I am on!!! At least I would then be able to do an accurate comparison when green light comes on...0 -
x Wilco x. You would think clarity would be in BG’s interest but it is lacking.
I’m on CE 2 dual fuel. I rang them up previous to 12 March and was verbally told I would be moved to CE 2. Not wholly convinced I also did a manual switch on the BG site which only took a couple of minutes.
But going into my Click online account nowhere does it say, for either gas or electric, which tariff I’m on - would have though this would be an obvious thing to expect.
They do show how past bills are calculated but by the time this happens you may have been on a “wrong” rate for months.
It will be interesting to see how this plays out.0 -
I switched online (on the BG website from CE to CE2) about 2 days before 12th March.
I then had a bill for electricity on the 14th March which has shown two days usage at the CE2 tariff so looks like it has gone OK for me. Just need a gas bill to double check.A bank is a place that will lend you money if you can prove that you don't need it - Bob Hope.
