I've moved it from the family board as it wasn't really about moneysaving in a family or relationship :)

OP, do they also have a father and baby only swimming session?!

If not then I think you have a case for sexual descrimination....

Bury Lesiure Centre doesn't have a father and baby session only Mother and Baby. I wanted to go as a family with my two kids and my husband but don't think I'll bother now!!!

political correctness gone haywire, anyway on a similar subject our local pool hasnt got any disabled changing facilties, and the school takes my 10 year old son there once a week, hes disabled and they have to change him on a changing mate on a manky pool floor, would they liek there kids or even themselves to have to lie on a manky floor to get change and dressed?
  • why is the floor manky? doesn't it get cleaned? the floors in our side rooms get wet and it's a pain but they are not actually dirty.

gerturdeanna do they have an aquatots session? there might be a mother and baby session that is just for women and babies under a year but most will also have a tots session where dads are allowed in.

there is a session called dolphins that allows mums and dads but this is a play session with floats and toys in the pool and really isn't suitible for young babies its aimed at toddlers and young children under 5 which is why we went to the baby session.
  • no, i don't suppose i would want to lie on a floor to get changed. here it would be on the bench type surfaces, but they are wooden slats so pretty uncomfortable.

the aquatots sessions here with the floats etc. are only in the afternoon. even if he wasn't asleep they are 2-3 and we would have to collect the other children from school so not really workable unless you have a car. my baby loves them but he's the type who thinks getting splashed is fun. a lot of children hate it, and i don't blame them!
