Think I'll just say "You'll have to ask your Mum why you can't go". What seems to bother me though is, she won't let them go as it's apparently not fair on her other 2 children, as she isn't taking them abroad!I'm never offended by debate & opinions. As a wise man called Voltaire once said, "I disagree with what you say, but will defend until death your right to say it."
Mortgage is my only debt - Original mortgage - January 2008 = £88,400, March 2014 = £47,000 Chipping away slowly! Now saving to move.0 -
Its a minefield - oh Christmas day my daughters dad did not even bother with a christmas present for his daugther - this is the daughter he spent 18mths dragging me through a court hearing - she was 8 at this time - the reason he had met someone else dumped his then wife for this woman with 6 kids and then there expecting no 7 (he as dad)
Try explaining to a very upset 10 yr old why has her dad dumped her, and has his son and the stepchildren not got christmas presents ....... I bet there tree was loaded up!!

Personally, I would avoid saying that. I would be worried that mum would turn it around and tell the kids that "Dad and SM can't afford to take all of you so they're only taking theirs"
There's no easy way really - someone will be the bad one so I suppose you should stick to truth?0
