Thanks guys..and said without a trace of irony it's great to be back in many ways....:-). Although the sun was wonderful there and I am currently on a train which may not make it back to a gridlocked Bristol ( more snow!) my first day back at work has been OK in many ways. Have been having quite a few issues with long term strategy but I think we might be seeing a way forward now...so that's a relief. Whilst the direction is not what I would have wanted some certainly some clarity is needed more..iykwim.
Need to see what OH has bought..if anything..but otherwise it's just £3.0 for me today. A colleague bought me lunch which was lovely and I have just capitulated and bought coffee and chocolate as not sure when I will get home.
Hope all are OK and not freezing...

Hello!! A short day today..and can't wait to get home although have to go to DD 1's school..reading Mrs PG's tales reminds me that I need to tackle her Maths class problems....she is really stalling and as its the only class where this is happening know most of it is to do with her teacher :-( In her last test she got 14% :-(. OH helps her a lot running through stuff when he can but she doesn't seem to gain much from her class..need to see what we can do better to support her ( and see what her teacher thinks is the issue of course)
Money wise just trying not to spend. Not sure completely what damage from holiday will be until bill comes through but have agreed with OH that will use the OP pot. No point in paying interestMFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal

Lost some of post ( Internet tripping out ) so was also going to say that planning to declutter and eBay tomorrow...will make me feel I have achieved something before we go out tomorrow eve. Making jerk chicken, rice and peas :T and taking it round to friends...so cheapish altho need to source cheap but FR chicken pieces for 8:eek: Have also swopped my haircut to just a cut from usual cut and colour and have used Home colour pack..will help a little and doesn't look too bad...even if not as nice as usual. Hmm...
Well. Got loads of FR chicken pieces for £15... £5 worth will go in the freezer so if I feed 8 jerk chicken ( 4 kids and 4 adults) for £10 will be well happy. Can't abide the cheapie chicken so hopefully this is the compromise.
Maths teachers..he escaped me!!! But spoke to DD1's form tutor who has put me onto the Head of Department and we agreed I would email him. She .had some tosh about intervention only happening in terms 5 and 6.. Told her to forget it.theres a problem now. No point in waiting for another 2 terms! She knew what I meant and wisely didn't challenge me!:rotfl: Am not saying DD1 has not been lacking in enthusiasm for Maths..cos I bet she has switched off..but its the discrepancy in her effort scores for this compared to literally every other subject and a carp test result that is making me raise this as an issue.
No rest for the wicked. Now out again to start DD2 at Brownies( but small mercies..cheaper than swimming at a bargainous £1.65 per week!) and to take DD1 to docs....another bacterial infection. Oh joys....what a life. Its much easier at work:rotfl: HOWEVER on the bright side think OH has got a babysitter for 2 hours this eve so we can sidle off for a swift drink..he says we haven't spoken this week...and do you know, he's absolutely right
Will be back for the party though Mrs PG:p
