Thanks guys..lovely to get your good wishes.

Packed and ready to go??!!! Are you joking??!!!:rotfl: I have packed my clothes and toiletries stuff. But girls have done nothing:eek:. TBH Christmas and end of term stuff has got in the way (and work of course!) so will probably be a mad panic but thats OK.

As long as I cancel the newpapers!!!!;)

Seriously, we have visas, passports in date, insurance and I have my prepaid cash (Caxt4n) and credit card (Hali7ax) sorted (using the MSE forums) but do need to check again they all work, have PINS etc otherwise we will pay a fortune in unnecessary charges. So guess thats most of it! Phone will be a PAYG local SIM I think.

Have to work today but will pop back when am taking a break

    Noooo....I missed your birthday!! Sorry:(

    Many belated birthday greetings!

You sound ready for the holiday, even if the others aren't. It doesn't take long to throw a few clothes and soap into a suitcase [this is from the woman who doesn't know, I have everything piled up on the spare bed for about three months. I panic if I leave it too late :(]

    Thanks granny..they are perfect! :rotfl:
Piq...yes I am a bit of a planner too..but will be OK. It's getting ready for Christmas that has been distracting.

Well folks another NSD..sort of. I am tempted not to count the £25 call out charge for the WM repair man to tell me the bearings had gone ( I guessed that but was hoping for some kind of miracle) and basically it's wasn't worth repairing a 15 yr old machine. Have to say its done sterling service.

So...he reckons we can keep on going for a bit as long as we can cope with the noise..it sounds like we are based under a main runway at Heathrow rather than a resi Victorian street in Bristol! :rotfl: so will sort it when I get back from extended hols...

But apart from that, no spends. The MSE boot camp that Ninjasaving Kat runs ( aka December Debt Destruction) must be having an effect..I am simply too scared to spend money!!:D
