    Hi there

Thanks for popping in NL..hope youre feeling better.

Yes had a lovely dinner here...even made HM choccie biscuits and icecream..lush. Now sitting on front of a toasty woodburner..all can't be bad!!

Not much else to report. Am joining the mad Debt Destruction December challenge ( if I am not too late) and spent £20 in Co-op, but fairly moderate day really..

    Hi

Just a bit of a stock take. Day has largely revolved around taking kids to places..and collecting from sleepovers..you probably know how it is!

Have spent £5.15 today which I think is a bit of a result!:D That was in the As.a cafe as had 2 tired kids who had events to go to. Shared hot drinks and took snacks so that we didn't spend on those. Was tempted to go hunting for stickered items but resisted!:D:D Part of the December Debt Destruction concept is not to spend on food....so as we have groaning shelves in my house that's what I remembered! Then back to a very late lunch of Leftovers and UseUps. Now watching our fave shows from yesterday evening in front of the roaring woodburner...life is pretty good! :T

Off to puruse the diaries now..hope all have had a good weekend

    Brizzle

PS the chickens even granted us an egg today! :rotfl: As its winter and cold they tend not to lay so that's a rather nice present. Will be using them for boiled eggs for tea with our HM bread :A

    Hi folks
Forgot to post yesterday it seems..must have been posting elsewhere instead:rotfl:..so much going on on these forums, its fab!

So..yesterday was emphatically not an MSE day but..

    - did some Xmas shopping, stuck to a list and 3 for 2 at B@@ts etc
    - got a free v large coffee with my loyalty card (one of the few benefits of having a job with lots of travelling)
    - free lift home from station from lovely friend I met on train
    - had an absolutely lovely time with DD1...and do you know what, thats important too:T

    Today was better..

    - made a few PADs before tinternet banking froze. Clearing out the pennies towards the debt as t were. Have to say 1st of the month made b*gger all impact on my current account..just a stark reminder of how skint I am
    - updated Moneywhi@z in all its 'grimness'
    - recycled an old picture frame from the loft for DD2's drawing that she was desperate to frame before her dad gets home in a fortnight
    - counted my stash of loo rolls (243..I know how to bulk buy!!:rotfl:)
    - uncovered fab presents from a pile of O&S in the loft - perfect for the new baby we will meet in NZ after Xmas..and as its still 'inside' and we dont know whether its pink or blue then its perfect as its a nice neutral clothing set and toy:T My DDs approve
    - found Xmas paper (this loft is indeed a treasure trove) so could wrap St Nicholas Day pressies without buying paper today. For our sins we celebrate that European tradition too... always small and very practical presents but even so...
    - made HM bread and now off to make banana bread with mushy bananas. Very MSE;)

On the problems side..realised that one of the reasons for the hideous bill last Monday (well I remember the Ho@bs trip..there was obviously another shop involved too!) was that I came home with 2 expensive bottles of rum...quality stuff....no wonder I am skint:o. Now am desperately trying to work out who I give it to for Xmas...hmm.

    - Spent £7 on bowls for DDs to plant bulbs in..before realising that OH has probably planted them in our garden  Well I can't find them..so unless he has hidden them:( I know maybe they will get rum instead! However £7 is the sum total of spends today so a dramatic improvement on yesterday.

Hope everyone has had a good day. Off now to get on with some domestic duties!!

Now that is an idea Fortune....in the end one bottle appeared in OH's boots for St Nicholas Day!!

Not a bad day. Finished off some Xmas shopping. Now just looking for tiny things for stockings. Maybe 3 for OH and me and same for DDs. Rest will be stuffed with fruit and sweets. Will review over weekend I think as usually I forget what I have! Then end up with too much or a treasure trove in the loft!

Babysitter bought some groceries too today but otherwise that's it. Have made some PADs and not lit the fire...went to bed instead! Will be a spendy day tomorrow as have a present to buy for DD2..and will be going out for Xmas drinks and grub with some ex-colleagues who I am very fond of. As we are not having an Xmas party at current place this year think it's probably justified. It's only lunch so will be in jeans after dropping off DD1 at school..

What else..oh made more HM bread. Previous banana bread was a DISASTER..so given to chickens and more made, with more baking powder and bicarb than recipe suggested and rose to a decent size so that's good. Kids liked that in their lunch boxes. Charged mobiles on train..bit tight but what the heck! And finally 4 yes 4, ladies and gentlemen, eggs from the chooks..given how cold it is that is truly amazing!!

    Over and out
