Hi folks! thanks for dropping by
Yes..stayed away from Hobbs (maybe I am learning my lesson!) and whilst spent £19 (includes coffees, lunch, alcohol and bus fare) thats it. Off out to pub for cheapie pizza now with my DDs and some friends but feels like an OK day spends wise. Lovely to catch up with friends from previous jobs..you almost forget what a fab bunch they are/were to work with
Will drop in on diaries over weekend..

Hello peeps
Feeling much calmer today. OH back in 10 days..well over halfway through. I think that helps...AND it's the weekend!! Whoop whoop:T:beer: ( I spent hours and hours on these forums and the tinternet last night..and reading the newspaper online. Went to bed at 2am but strangely feel much calmer and woke up early enough)
Today I plan to:
- check bank account and make some PADs
- only spend money on haircut and use cash already have in purse
- supervise DD2 and DD1 with their reams of homework:eek: mainly it's time management and cheer leading from the sideline but all quite exhausting
- made a nice tea from freezer and meal plan for next week
- NOT buy anything today apart from haircut
- do a stock take of presents as usually vastly overcater (if I can do that discreetly, if not will need to do it to Monday when they are at school)
- tidy house. Properly. It has been cleaned but because of Xmas and packing to go away there are 'pools' of stuff:o everywhere and I realise that it's making me really stressed..so am going to get DD2 and me to really blitz it.
That's it folks. Have a great day

:santa2: for after Xmas stock take is complete
:coffee: because by now you'll need one
:grouphug: foy you and the kids when you've finished

Cheers Mrs T..
Well a cold day today. I am not working which is fab. I had a day planned but DD2 is exhausted and weepy so she is having a day at home..asleep now so hoping that will improve her energy levels. Lots of stuff going on at school and she is missing her dad too..ho hum. Don't like it but figured she needed a break.
Mixed weekend in terms of achievements:
- PADs and scraping across of pennies and small pounds achieved.
- did spend more than haircut on Saturday but only £9 for school fair (raffle tickets x3 (once would have bought £10 worth so times have changed), entrance and £5 for DD2) and £2.50 for sweets so minimal I guess
- NSD yesterday!!!! Whoop whoop! 2 in a week..blooming miracle.
- checked mortgage account and am back where I was 3 years ago..however have totally paid for a lovely c:oamper van so well at least I know why its the case...the erosion of my OP pot though is more of an issue..have to carry on sticking to budgets. No real slack available.
- lovely dinners on both days - lots of veggies from bottom of fridge and use ups. Pudding was all Hm too..Hm vanilla ice cream and HM cake and biscuits
- checked Xmas stash and have decided need no more presents!! Fruit, sweets and nuts for stockings will be bought when we are away.
But:
- homework is ongoing! MUST get DD1 to finish it tonight before we all go mad.
- house not as tidy as I would like but better. Small steps.
- 3 eggs from hens. A half dozen this week which aint bad.
Today am planning to:
- go for a run (when DD1 gets home as can't leave DD2)
- [STRIKE]make a soup from potatoes..it asks for sweet potatoes but it'll be fine am sure. Will need fresh coriander though so not a NSD:( make bruschetta using own HM bread.[/STRIKE] Also CBA to go outside so no coriander and a NSD!!!!:T:T
- [STRIKE]update MSE signature[/STRIKE] have done so, pleased to report am under £16k and ta da... decided to adopt an ambitious DFD;)
- [STRIKE]make my own pastry for chicken pie to use up the chicken I had yesterday. Will use bones for stock for the soup.[/STRIKE] ..and leftovers made into jam tarts with DD2 who is currently perkier and watching TV
- wrap some presents and maybe start some cards.
- [STRIKE]finish meal planner and timetable (necessary in my mad house:rotfl:) and put on fridge! All written out just couldnt get to PC as DD1 was doing HW! It involves stuff from larder/fridge/freezer so hopefully no spends apart from fruit and milk this week.[/STRIKE]
- sew on DD1s scout badges! (longstanding outstanding job!)
Think thats it. Will update laters.
Have a great week everyone

Just a quick hello from me !
Homework supervision ........... Aargh , bane of my life and enough to send anyone stir crazy !
Sorry to hear DD2 isn't top of the world. Missing Dad is a tough one, I'm sure a lovely day at home with her lovely mum will do her the power of good.
Oh and Scouts badges, I can't sew........I glue them on with Fabric Glue, so much quicker ! :rotfl:

Still, have to keep on going as always stuff to do isn't there?! Sorry to hear your workload has dropped..off to start that 'drum up the work' dance now!!
