    So..today so far.

£35 spent on haircut and dry..but crumbs do I feel better. Next time will miss the blowdry though... Thats it for spends today.

We have also decluttered DD2's room like mad. it looks better. We have agreed though thats there's still more there that she can 'lose' so we will have another go later this month. 8 shopping bags' full to charity shop. 1 black bag filled with rubbish.

And now for the really great news..13 items listed on EBay (some are not from her room to be fair) and 2 pieces of furniture in the street - free to a good home! (The kids bike went yesterday!) 1 bid already, only £1 but anyway..

So feeling optimistic. OH takes great photos but hates listing..would prefer that we don't buy in the first place (which is fair enough)..so very chuffed he has listed that many. Appreciate its post-Xmas and busy as a FLW but we can always relist now the ballache of getting the details up together is done.

Off out now to see friends. will be lovely. As said yesterday we will be taking dinner. they are doing pud and sharing wine..so fairly frugal. Am drowning in veg so it will be lots of meal planning around pumpkins next week!!

    Have a good eve

  • Have a lovely evening Mrs B.

Hope you and OH find some time to talk soon. Know the feeling well, Mr Pinot and I havent had what I call a proper conversation since last Monday. Everything else seems to take priority doesn't it ? :o x

I hate doing the photos! I'd much rather just sit there with a pile of items already photo'd and just get on with the listing.

I dont mind the photos, it's describing the item that drives me mad when I want to be rid of it so badly I have to think of something interesting to say.

Me too. Loathe doing it. Yet again I have missed the free listing weekend, deliberate avoidance I'm afraid.

I quite like doing it now I've got going! Only one item listed this weekend though and that's a brand new dress that DD bought from a market stall and then wouldn't wear. It's on its third listing now so I just hope someone buys it this time. Being from a market it doesn't have any labels so it hardly gets any viewings. Shame because it's really pretty.

Nice to have you back from your holidays Brizzle x

    Hi lovely people..

Dinner went well..but have to say OH's marinade recipe from last time was much better than the shop bought one we used this time (so its back to the BBC recipe website next time) but you can't beat rum and jerk chicken for tea!!
OH had a sore head the next day..I was much more restrained;)

EBay sales are going well..although can't believe how much some people are prepared to bid..we have added to the description as we fear it will all fall apart..surely no one can pay that much for something so little we are thinking!! Would prefer to argue it now rather than later with cheesed off bidders. Its not that we have misdescribed anything you understand...its just that people dont read stuff I find:( Like you ladies say...EBay can be a bit of a drag at times..like having another child to look after when you have stuff listed:rotfl:
Went with girls to see Life of Pi yesterday. Lovely film and although a spend it was worth it. then played games in front of the fire in the evening but FINALLY going out with OH for a pint. Well I had a pint and he had a soft drink ;) so a fiver all in....nice to chat anyway.

Meal planning done and OH currently at tip:T Next up is a charity shop trip and then its finishing off the soup I am cooking to eke out the rest of the food. I am also planning to declutter my room a bit as I dont fancy braving the garden!! Turned chilly again! Have ordered some fresh veggies from R7verford so again trying to minimise grocery spend this week. We also went the dentist this morning and even though its NHS (of course!) still£60 odd to pay for 2 check ups and a scheduled 're-filling' for OH...blimey:eek:

Have just asked bank for money from OP pot:( so can pay off the holiday CC bill in full. It hurts me to do it but its for the best. Will now just have to work hard to build it up again..and pay off this darned debt.
