LBM in 2003.. What have I been doing since??!

Surely..it's the BBC one from James Martin. Next time I won't glaze them in the egg mixture as it seemed to toast them a little too quickly but I have to say they are delish. We used our Ship6on Mill oatmeal so all yummy. Will try some more Oatcake recipes soon to compare and contrast.
We get through a lot and these must be cheaper. They only have 4 ingredients in them! Salt, oatmeal, flour ( we used WM btw) and fat..MFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal

Thanks, looked the recipe up. It does sound pretty easy. Have you tried cooking them in the oven? I agree that it might be better not to glaze them, too. What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?0

Hi satchmo, this was the first time but I agree I think the oven option could work.
Have posted on what small things thread today and planning a NSD..have to do some work as well but positive about today. just hoping for a last minute burst of bidding on our Fleabay auctions..

Fingers crossed for your ebay sales!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0

Thanks...well over £100 if everyone pays up. Which ain't bad. 2 items didn't sell so immediately relisted them.
Unfortunately not a NSD after all..had to buy birthday present for MIL and our childcarer. Was very restrained though. MIL gets £5 Baylis &H.rding set and girls will make her a Chocolate Malteser cake which she will adore.. Also had to pay out £8 extra on postage as on 3 out of the 5 parcels I posted OH underestimated the postage.. oh well you live and learn. We are still up and the biggest items are collection.
What else? Some smoothing of the account Tilly style...plus the BEST news of all...the £3.69 bottle of Spanish red from the Co@p which I bought for cooking the stew turns out to be very quaffable:rotfl: Imagine OH and my surprise when we turn to drinking some this eve...it's very good:T We are trying to cut down on wine...so maybe it's just that I am out of practice!
Hope everyone is OK

I've undercharged on postage too, very annoying but you do learn! You're doing well on the ebaying malarkey, I wish I could force myself to do it more often.

Hey..we could have a MSE wine tasting event..taste some of the cheapest wine and then score it. Am sure some of it is actually OK... We just need to find out which ones!!!
Had a nasty experience with an AL.i one once but having said that must visit again sometime as basically a pretty good store. No frills quality if you are careful what you look for.
Think I am following you around the diaries Piq..sorry you have a stalker!MFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal

Fab news on ebay sales, well done you.:T
I am up for the MSE Wine Tasting Evening , Funny that !! :rotfl:How bout we just give them all a 10 and not bother with the swizzling and sniffing and just drink it ?!
Who is this Tilly you speak of recently ? I have not found her ?
Oh how funny just read back what I wrote above about Tilly, I sound just like my DD1 who frequently says "Who is Zis ..????..... you speak of ?" in a German accent !! Why German I dont know.....anyway I will go now, too much rambling for so early in the day.
