Hi Brizzle, sounds like you have a similar onion mountain to GG
I agree about the excessive hours at work. There is such an expectation that people will work and as the job market is still quite poor people do. Very difficult,
Good luck with eb@y. I really dislike it but the stuff at the moment is selling. After that though my stash is empty

Hi guys
Thanks for the support.
- Today I will:
- declutter bathroom cabinet ( inspired by Goodlife!)
- make bread in BM
- finish onion tart, freeze it. HM cauliflower cheese and Salad Nicoise for tea. Odd combo maybe but will be meat free and help get through the veggie mountain I have accquired via veg box deliveries.:rotfl:
- take girls horse riding. Try for a NSD.....
- remember to be especially nice to my OH...auspicious day and all that:rotfl:
- shift pennies to the debt..Miss Tilly style
- watch the EBay auctions..loving the thrill of selling. Not even interested in buying which is also fab. Have £50.50 in cash this week just from people collecting stuff..have to add up the Paypal gains later.
So a quiet day.

Hey NL...well it's under a year!! Lets have a blast in 2014 when we kick these pesky debts and you get to your weight goal x
Have searched through the bathroom cabinet. Lord it's in a state. I must have 3 years of conditioner and shower gel.(note to self...no buying at ALL!!) ..threw a few things..body lotions from hotels I will never ever use for example. But best of all..found the essential part...yes the tube of dye..for a home dye kit that I wanted to use a few weeks ago and then realised was incomplete so went out and bought a new one. So now its complete and ready to use. Weyhey!!:rotfl:
Thanks Goodlife.
On another note we are seeing very dear friends at the weekend. In a phone conversation she mentioned getting sitters and going out on Sat eve. When we had finished talking I thought about it and then texted along the lines of not sure what our respective finances are after Xmas but very happy to share buying food and cooking on Sat eve and we can stay in. But up to her of course. Immediate text back saying great idea. Now...in times gone by I wouldn't have written that text but 1) we can't afford it...largely blew the eating out budget on 1 Feb:eek: ( but it was lovely for us all to be out..girls loved it) but 2) I suspect that they are also keeping up appearances, like so many of us and have better things to spend their money on ...and as OH said as we can all cook it'll be rather sociable and fun to cook together..(OH is rather looking forward to it). So pleased with this. It's the right thing to do.
Just thought I'd share:rotfl:

I think staying in and cooking is a fab idea
we do this all the time as I'm beginning to really loathe going out for dinner. OH has just given a guilt trip about not going out tonight, to which I responded with "it'll be carp service, carp food, over-rated, expensive, I'd rather you do what you do most nights and cook me dindins"

Great idea for Saturday night and I agree I think lots of people are 'keeping up appearances' (am I for sure
), but I've found once I've mentioned cutting back on presents, taking picnics when meeting up with the kids etc that its always greeted with a great big 'Yes'.

I agree, that's a much better idea. Not only will it be much, much cheaper, but the food will be better, you'll be more comfy and it will be more relaxed. We rarely go out nowadays (not just because we're broke, we're lazy too!) and I couldn't believe the price of drinks when we popped into the local pub a couple of weeks ago. £4.50 for a glass of poor quality wine!! I only had the one........LBM Dec 2011. Aimed, but failed, to clear all unsecured debt by Feb 2019. Finally free of unsecured debt 21st May 21!

Busy day. More time in the kitchen again. But nice to do stuff for the meal and really no need to go out. I am going to try and persuade OH to stay in tomorrow instead of going out for a drink...but sometimes when the kids are still up at 10 and you haven't had an evening I know why he loves going out and then we properly talk..

Hello
Update from Brizzle Towers, OH has promised to make 'left overs' tea..but hasn't appeared yet .so am lurking on here!!
Today I:
- worked:rotfl:
- checked bank accounts...back in credit..weyhey!! and transferred a massooosive 77p across to the debts:D
- realised OH has been paid some back overtime. Good news.
- didn't sell 3 items on Ebay..may just re-list? or drop price and re-list? But so far takings near £200 mark so not bad for a clear out.
- had a NSD!!!!! Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:T THink we will try and keep it that way by not going to the pub for post Vally Day drinks....
fingers crossed

That's a pretty impressive score on the ebay front. Well done! I think tomorrow I will start listing some bits, need some money just to live on, not for debt payments unfortunately.
Hopefully, OH will turn up and start the leftover surprise for tea soon.Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30
Total debt today: £0 - debt and mortgage free 29th November 2013 :T
