Hi brizzle, you've been a busy girl!
I agree about the keeping up appearances- was doing the same until very recently. bet your friends were relieved by your text- sure you'll have a great night tomorrow- look forward to hearing about it.
Was impressed to hear about the bathroom de-clutter, it feels good when its done.
I have spent my last annual leave day cleaning because we have a viewing on our house tomorrow, theres nothing like selling a house to keep you on top of de-cluttering!
Have a great night with your friends

Hi everyone!!
A lovely lovely weekend...everyone loved it...kids and adults alike so a result.
Lovely steak pie for carnivores and a mushroom pie for the veggies...lush. Even made the pastry!
We did go out after the meal for sneaky drinks..bought a round each so £16 but a lovely day.
So a pretty frugal weekend..need more of those!!!!
Working off and on this week so may not be around much....but thinking of you all, you fabulous MSE peeps!!

Hi guys
A busy few days at work...but am not complaining. It's a job and some of my lovely friends on here need one of those or more of those, fast
Pretty MSE few days but am getting through lots of diesel which I won't necessarily get back as some is my commute...and we are badly over on the groceries budget. A massive 66ptowards the debts today. Have to see how they are doing...hoping I am chipping away and the EBay must be helping to swell the coffers a little
Think I have a small budget for next few days. Think am under on some 'pots' so will have a look at Moneywhizz..see what I have and then say to OH that's it until Friday.
I am fine planning this budget malarkey..it's sticking to it that's the problem
Anyway woodburner blazing away..am hopeful that OH and I may watch a movie..blimey what a luxury..time to sit still:rotfl:
Haven't cracked open the wine yet....may have to do that shortly!

Hey Brizzled so happy to read you. I love the idea of cooking together with friends. A covered dish or pot luck dinner is pretty common in America, and it just feels so much more sociable at home.
Well done on fleabay, it is another free listing weekend so I am going to crack on with it.

Thanks lovely peeps
So today's good news:
- money received from an insurance claim as we lost something valuable whilst on holiday over Xmas. We will set aside the cash to replace it but even so it's a relief
- made lovely roast dinner if I say so myself for my mum and dad...yum scrumptious and my new fave, HM syrup pud and HM vanilla ice cream. Ace.
- posted parcels to EBay buyers
- gained £2 from a happy buyer who didn't want change as he came to collect ( lovely person)
- happy girls which is always great
- exchanged texts with lovely friends
- went for a run...WOO HOO..first time for months
Less good news:
- we are badly over on groceries and diesel..and will have to put in another £60 worth of fuel I think this week. Although I will get some mileage back I have to do the returns and it's never covering what I pay. I should look into getting that tax back from the money I receive per mile and the 40p the HMRC reckons it costs ( or whatever it is)
But incredibly will be under budget this month. So I guess that's a reason for some celebration..spent under in some categories but over in others..as I said above.
Onwards and upwards. Have to venture upstairs now and coax kids into bed!!
Will try and have a quick view of the diaries laters

Brizzle, do you ever have passengers on business journeys? Check your expenses policy, because ours allows another 5p per mile per passenger.
cheers, Satchmo1What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?0
