Have decided not to go yellow sticker hunting this week and use up what I have got! Difficult for me but has been possible. Got more extra jobs done than going shopping. Freezer is still pretty full so am going to still concentrate on running this down. Might wait to early next week before I go on my next hunt.

I did fantastically well at morries yesterday, the SA is all chatty and nice to me now which helps as she knows I go fro the meat first and the add ons later if there are any, so she was pricing down the chicken and sort of gave me the heads up so got 99p chicken thighs/legs instead of £4 and then the pier de resistance:j 2 sirloin steaks with pepper corn sauce for £3.49 instead of £7.99 in packet, she went to put them down and then said to me 'take them all you know why' (the other lady there owned a restaurant and they come in on mass often, various members of the family and just grab and go, always meat, just grab handfuls not even stop to ask if anyone wants any just take the lot so the SA was fed up with it this time and asked me to take it for a change:j)

So I did, I have seperated them so they will make 6 dinners, no need for two sirloin steaks per meal and I am the only one that likes red meat so :j

I got so much stuff, strawberry mousses for 29p instead of £1, loads of different flavours of curries for £1.15 instead of £3.49, gammon for £1.45 instead of £3.49, sausages 49p instead of £1.50, sausages in onion gravy 99p instead of £3.49, some weight watchers meals £1.15 instead of £2.49, lots of those little tapas 99p instead of £3.49, organic full fat milk for 45p, the list goes on, the two freezers are chocca:j

The SA made me laugh because she said loudly 'see you tomorrow' to me:rotfl: she saysshe is sick to the back teeth of the grabbers and I am polite and say please and thank you and wait my turn and am a refreshing change from what she normally has to put up with:D

I went again today and the SA was saying that morries isfed up with making a loss of having to reduce the yellow stickers so much to get rid of the stuff so they are going to make sure they get the items that come up that don't sell taken off their order like the ham and mushroom tagliatelli is always in the yellow stickers and at 85p that they price it down to is a bargain got 3 of those instead of £4.

The paella used to be that is no longer there now, pizzas are always there but she said that is because they sometimes order in too many but will not be totally taken off that morries will just have to take the hit on that one and try to order in less.

Cheese is always there as is milk but that is orders again and yogs and cottage cheeses so morries are really going to have to look at their order forms.

The more she says this as it will help her job no end not have to do as many stickers as she does now the more I think that may be great for you but not for me:rotfl: I want morries to have a load of food left over:rotfl:

Both of my freezers are filled to the brim now so very happy, will not be going this week but it does save a load of money, anyone reading this, sure it takes time and luck and dealing with rude and grabby people but it is worth it and all the money saved can go towards better things:D

I've noticed a real decline in yellow stickers at Morries. The stuff in the chiller isn't being reduced to a few pence anymore. Thought it was kind of strange, but then I went the other day, noticed a whole load of lurpak had stickers on it (but wasn't enough off for me), so went back later on in the evening. It was all still there with the same sticker on (just a few pence off) so I did my shopping keeping an eye on the chiller for further reductions.

Eventually SA came along and took the whole lot away on a trolley. Since then I have struggled to find anything massively reduced so I'm wondering whether they are not doing the silly prices anymore. Still getting my 9p bread though! Totally run out of cheese, I could always get reduced cheese but not anymore. :(

I'm hoping that the items they take off the shelves are offered to staff at further reductions rather than be binned.

Has anyone ever noticed how shockingly expensive some of the chilled ready meals are full price? We bought a few on the YS to try them out more than anything else and we thought the quality and quantity was shockingly poor. Felt a bit ripped off at 50p never mind £3.25.

I did some shopping last night, called in on my way home. Managed to get a few items but could have done with more veg. I got some bread, but don't need any more now as my freezer is full of it. I got such a lot last time it lasted two weeks. Think I'll only make ten days with what I got last night.

Have only just found this thread, I've been a yellow sticker addict for a while. I mainly look in my local Tesco metro near work. I work 3 days and have strict reduction hunting regime!
I go in a morning before work to have a quick look at what has been yellow stickered. Then I finish work at 5 and I have found it is the best time for reductions. I follow the sa with her magic sticker machine & trolley! I get all my bread, lots of my veg, I do struggle with meat sometimes, but it saves me a fortune.
Todays tea was a gammon joint ( £2.16 from £7.99) with potato wedges (£0.20) and mixed veg (£0.21)
I also have found a few bargains in the co-op from time to time.
Money, money, money, must be funny....in a rich mans world.

I've been lurking for a while now and I think it's about time I start posting.

I have two Mr T's in my local area. One is an express and the other is a Metro.

I've seen the SA at the Express reducing items before but that was at 10am on a sunday and it was only by about 10% or so.

I'm thinking of going to the Metro tomorrow at about 3 since it closes at 4, much earlier than the express.

Is Sunday usually a good day for spotting reduced items?

I know!!!! However I finish work at 5 and if I ever meet friends after work and go home about 7pm the amount of tired people finishing work buying them is immense. There is definitely a market for them and I am finding less and less reduced which may mean wither they are making less or more people are buyhing them full price!! I buy them if they are less than 70p (so I have one in the freezer if I am tired or don't have time to make sandwiches). I may go a bit higher for the better ones like I think they are called 'City Kitchen' in Tescos? They are quite nice-yummy and spicy.
Since starting again after beanie: June 2016: Child development DVDs, Massive Attack tickets. July: Aberystwyth trip, hotmilk nightie. Aug: £10 Hipp Organic vouchers, powerpack. September: Sunglasses. October: £30 poundland vouchers.

:)Yes the sauce tasted great but we only found 2 tiny bits of lamb! It was mainly sauce and some tiny chopped up veg . If I was the type to buy convenience ready meals for time etc would definitely spend my money at sainsbugs or M&sparks Much better quality. Morries are trying to become something they are not imo. :(
