Hello,
You all seem to be doing a fab job at getting yellow stickers! I live in Shefford so my local places are ASDA and Morrinsons. Can anybody tell me the best time to go to grab these bargins as I seem to be missing out. :-)
Thank youJust Looking For Advice. :-)0 -
7 x2 Fillet steaks today at just under half price
I had 3 and MIL had other 4. they were half price and still in the usual place on the shelf, no-one else was looking at them so I'm sorry to say I had them all. I then went around the rest of the shop and also got 2 x organic cheddar down from £2.79 to 74p and some organic eggs for 89p for 6. When I went back past the meat the lady was reducing things further so \i asked if she would have knocked more off the steak. She said she couldn't take it off me but if I dumped it back on the shelf she could but was only taking a little more off at that stage. Anyway she took another 30 or so p off each pack. So a happy bunny
but no good for using up the freezer:rotfl::rotfl:
I was off to conquer the world but I got distracted by something sparkly

nice little haul from the co-op again tonight
2 x 1ltr organic whole milk - 29p
pack of 2 yum yum donughts - 10p
2 x 2 croisonts - 10p each
1 x 2 pork loin steaks - 29p
2 x large apple pies - 29p each
1 egg mayo filler - 10p
1 x hovis loaf 10p
freezer on way to full again, though will make room by taking things from last few days out packages and put at back so use older stuff up first.
Handy apple pie's as few guest tmrw night for dinner, one in freezer and one for tmrw night.
Had to get olive oil and tins tomatoes etc from home bargains, so nipped into sainsbury next to it whilst down there, got -
purple sprouting broccoli - 44 p was £1.70 for 200g !!!
salad cress - 4p was 24p
pack of 5 unwaxed lemons - 39p were £1.50!!! lol seen in lidl today at under a £1 as was in for coffee etc whilst passing through town whilst out on work
3 x sirloin steaks from freezer, purple sprouting broccoli, corn on cob, green beans and flat mushrooms all reduced for tmrw night dinners, making dauphinoise potatoes with nice king edwards from lidl today with reduced cream from co-op last night, followed by apple pie and cream
think total about £2.50-£3 for 3 people
Though have a bottle of burgandy from lidl and have some beef stock in freezer, will take out and reduce down bit more and add a glass or so of wine reduced and of course a couple bits of butter (reduced yesterday lol) so call that about another £1 so even £4 for 3 people to eat yet another nice meal
No wonder my mates and family like to come over here for dinner !!!
All the best0 -

Just been in Sainsbus around 2pm and it was a 20p day
I came away with chicory, organic courgettes, organic big mushrooms, an avo and asparagus all for 20p each. They were making down the chilled stuff as well but there was nothing I fancied.

I was there at 3.40pm and nothing at all nothing:D
I had been to Mr T at 2.15 like last sunday but the reductions are chaotic, there are 3 places to look and 1 more the butchers section, so standing where the reduced section gets put is a bit of a waster because the two other SA in different aisles reduce also and they put it on top as they reduce it people walk past, see it, get it and it never gets to the reduced section, so I did that for a bit and got...
Pizza express extra large pizza £6 to £1.50
Quiche £1.50 to 45p
Spanish tapas 63p from £2.49 (was going to complain as the same last week was 33p:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:)
Fish and chips ready meal £2.50 to 65p
Egg custard tarts 35p from £1.50
A profiterole mound £3 to 88p
Pork and herb sausages 80p from £3
All the chicken when I got there was half price to £3 from £6 I wondered if I could have it and then hide it until she came back and reduced again...
57p from £3 for some energy strawberry mini drinks ideal for lunch boxes
Tropicana £2.50 to 67p
Some tesco own ready meal for weight watchers 77p instead of £2.50/£3.
Cornish pasties 11p from £1.50

Sometimes I find the staff, especially in Mr T, when reducing items, walk off taking the pricing gun with them and disappear out the back if you ask them if they are reducing it further. I suppose it depends on how you ask them but I am always polite but they seem to have the huff and walk off. :mad:0
